Guys - Did any one else receive the letter of acknowledgement ?

Cheers

Robbie,
I received the email the same time you did, saying it would take 8-12 weeks. I hope we're all gonna see something by the third week of November.

I didnt receive anything....what the hell is this...? Waiting waiting

^^ me too. Tired of waiting. Where are you located? I'm currently in Vancouver. Once we are nominated, can we apply for work permit Inland? Or do we have to send it to our home country? I don't want to wait for another 3 months just to get my work permit! :(

There are certain circumstances where you can apply for the work permit from within Canada but in most cases I believe you have to apply for the work permit at an office outside of Canada. However, I don't think you have to send it to your home country, New York office is the closet one.

But according to their website, there are only certain territories that New York Consulate covers, so (correct me if I'm wrong), if you aren't lawfully admitted to any of these territories (Territory covered: Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York state, Pennsylvania and Bermuda) they won't process your application.
