Hello, i am from the Philippines and I'd like to seek some advice from you guys.
I would be honest, my intention to study in Canada is to be easily employed globally but more so to be able to be hired legally in Canada and eventually become a permanent resident. is this a good option? Because I've read that there are no grounds for rejection if you have dual intent right?
Now, I want to apply for a undergraduate program at the University of Manitoba. I have a wife and a 1 year old son. How can I take them with me, do I apply for that right away or is it better to process that after I've received my student permit and arrived in Canada?
What are the chances that our visas will be approved if the following are our current situation:
1. I have no degree or diploma but have taken up a couple of units in Bachelor of Science in Business Management at the University of the Philippines.
2. I have only 6 months work experience in BPO industry as a technical support representative.
3. I have been an operator/owner of a 3 year existing business, although i do not have a bank account since from the start of our operations I have been using my parents' account and haven't realized the need to have my own account yet.
4. My wife is a Registered Nurse but haven't practiced and has no work experience.
5. My parents would financially support my studies and our stay in Canada.
also, would it be safe to assume that if my wife acquires a Open Work Permit and i get an off-campus work permit then we would be able to financially secure my studies and living expenses without the aid of my parents? Because I would not want them to finance my whole studies, I plan to ask for the aid only on my first year of studies there on, I plan to take care of the rest.
thanks in advance
