We are PNP nominees and have just received our 600 points, sadly too late for the draw today but we hope to get an ITA in the next draw.

For the proof of funds, we only have one bank account, no other savings or investment accounts or anything. Everything goes into our one account, but our bank have refused to provide us with a financial profile letter or a six months average statement letter as they say that it is not their policy to do so.

Is it ok to provide six months of bank statements, a current balance statement and a letter of explanation instead? Are there any other proof of funds documents we will need to provide?

Thank you

Go to the local bank manager and tell him/her that you will close the account and move to another bank if they don't provide information you require (I would do that). It's your rights to get from the bank information about your financial status. I know that some cashiers at counters my refuse to that as they just don't know how to get this information.

Thank you, but I have tried that, and even tried putting in a formal complaint but they still will not budge :(

Try to get a letter from bank that they can't provide you the financial summary requested. Include a LOE for the same along with the bank statements for past six months. This should suffice.

I just used 6 month bank statement and my payslips to show the deposits. I also used the exchange rate on xe.com to convert last available balance in CAD and mentioned xe.com as a source of exchange rate. I had other source of funds too and I explained all in a LOE. Added the proofs (statements, payslips etc.) and submitted. I recently received my GCMS notes and my funds were okay.

Thank you but they wont do that either as apparently it isn't their policy to put such things in writing. If I hear it isn't their policy one more time I will scream.

Thank you Dev, I was hoping that would be enough for us too. We are outland applicants, and we have a letter from our solicitor, signed and on headed paper confirming where our settlement funds came from and that they were paid into our account ~ sale of our vacation house in early November. Will that be enough, along with the six months statements and current balance?

Ask your bank to give it to you in writing that they will not provide such bank certificate and statements.

That is the trouble, they will not even provide it in writing that they will not provide the financial profile, certificates etc. I have tried everything, official complaints, letters but still they will not. :(

Hi,

I hope all is well.

I am currently in the same situation, all I can get is online statement stamped with the banks seal. What did you do? I would really appreciate your feedback

I submitted a bank certificate showing current net worth and a statement for past six months.
