How much must I show the funds

You have to show funds equal to your
Total course fees estimation + 2 year leaving expanse.
It's not necessary to show financial documents.
But mention it in study permit quationaries in spp checklist.
On safe side, please show a higher funds.
You can also submit parents support affidavit.

you can expect your result next week. may be 1-2 Sep if they not speed up processing.
some of applicant who applied on 18-20 July got their visa on 23-24 Aug.
