Bangladeshi Applicants for Sponsoring Spouse Only

i am a march appilcant

march 25th recieved
april17th sent file to visa office

since then on the website application status says DECISION MADE and Application recieved . and on the decision made inside it says We received your application to sponsor tuntunaès on March 25, 2013.

We sent you a letter on April 17, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.


and on the parmanent residance statusa says

We received tuntunaès application for permanent residence on March 25, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

what WILL BE NEXT , ANY IDEA? anyone having experience like this ?? i am waitting for the letter dont knw how long it will take ? i cant wait to meet my hubby

What you have received by mail/ e-mail and the status online are standard. It means the Sponsor was approved and now the file was sent to the visa office on April 17th, 2013 for processing.

Next is WAIT! At this point you can't do anything but wait. Since the Applicant is Bangladeshi, the file was sent to Singapore Visa Office. At this moment it has a long processing time. Next they will look at your file and let you know if anything is missing. It may take another 5 to 6 months. if nothing is missing, then you may not hear for another 9 to 10 months.

Applicants from March 2012 are still waiting.

If everything goes okay, when can I expect a reply from Visa Off at Singapore?

Will they ask for another Medical check and Police verification again?

The Sponsor completes part 1 and the applicant (who is in Bangladesh) fills out part 2. Only complete the Forms applicable. For example if you are not using a lawyer then no one has to fill out form IMM 5476 and since we Bangladeshis are married not common-law-partners, we don't have to fill out form IMM 5409. Also, if your spouse doesn't have any children from previous marriage then form IMM 0008DEP is not applicable. Read Part 3 for instructions on how to fill out the forms.

You will need the forms, marriage certificate, medical form given by doctor in Bangladesh for check-up of applicant, police certificate, marriage pictures and of course the payment receipt (you can pay online by using credit card).

The sponsor who is in Canada sends everything along with supporting documents together to Mississauga. Please read the Canada Government website for details.

Ho aiisha:

You may have to do medical check again if they ask for it. Sometimes, they just ask for extension (that means you don't need a complete checl-up again but need some information from the doctor). Usually, they don't ask for police verification a 2nd time.

Your file was transferred in Singapore. Now someone will look at the content of the file to see if they need any document and e-mail you that they need it. If not, you will not hear anything. After that, the file will go for processing and someone will review and make a decision. No one can accurately tell you when you may hear something. You have to follow similar timelines of other Bangladeshi forum members.

application received in 25 october.
we know CIC change some rules & its effected in 25 october,2012. my question is , what rules affected on my application,before or after 25 october?
and how much time they have been taken?

If your application was received in Mississauga before October 25, then your application shouldn't fall under new rules.

Usually, the whole process may take about 18 months from the beginning, if Singapore does not ask for any interview.

Why do you say "CIC send me an e-mail on October 12 & it says - application received in 25 october" ? It does not make sense.

ok may be you mean to say that your husband received an e-mail on October 12 that the application was received but the online status (ECAS) shows the application was received on October 25. It seems that Mississauga received the application before October 25. So, your application does not fall under new rule...

They may sent the re-medical instruction by mail or by e-mail.

Usually, they will go by what address the Applicant gave as the current mailing address / e-mail.

How do you know If you'r file been transfered to the SVO or not?
I mean I got a mail that the sponsorship approved and there they said they have sent the the file to SVO at the same day.So how long it gonna take to reach there and how do I know it.
