Hi, does the background check process also include personal visit to the address given in the application?
it really does not, unless CIC broke into my house at some point and I never realized it.

need expert opinion in my case. My LinkedIn was visited in private mode between Jun 5 - Jun 11, is this a type of verification? If true what's the next step? I had already paid RPRF upfront.

Thanks

Are you serious? Anyone can change their settings in linkedin and check other people's profile. What's the probability that CIC visited your linkedin during that period?

Yes, CIC officers visit applicants' LinkedIn profiles. Mine was also visited by 2 people in private mode and few weeks later, I got my PPR.

I can't remember again. Maybe a month or two.

I have a question regarding my wife's case (sponsorship). Her case has been stuck at B/G check for almost 2 months.

On 7/27 since my wife had been in Canada for than half an year, CIC requested a RCMP PCC from her. We uploaded the PCC on 8/4. From the ATIP, which was dated 08/30, we can see local VO indeed received her PCC. But now almost one month had passed, her B/G check is still in progress.

I was wondering is it because of her lack of Burmese PCC?

She stayed in Burma from age 18 to 19, about 15 years ago. Since she's not in Burma now, she could not apply for a PCC from that country. CIC acknowledged this problem and wrote explicitly on their website that my wife did not have to turn in Burmese PCC.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/myanmar.asp
Certificates cannot be obtained by non-residents. If you no longer live in Burma (Myanmar), you are not required to provide a police certificate from Burma (Myanmar). If you are asked for a police certificate from Burma (Myanmar), write: “I cannot provide a police certificate for the time I spent in Burma (Myanmar) because certificates are only available to people who currently live in Burma (Myanmar).”

However, I'm guessing CIC will use their own channel to look into my wife's background in Burma. Usually how long will it take for this kind of "unable to acquire PCC" situation?

You are unnecessarily worrying. No one can tell whether CIC uses their own channel or not or if that impacts the processing time. The only bottom line is that 2 months in background check is perfectly reasonable time. For some cases it might take less, but those are rare. For majority it longer than that.

Hello all,
I Would like to share my query, i hope u guys will throw light on my situation
I got rprf pcc request in early august this year, i also submitted my newly born childs documnents and fees as per vo guidelines. They also released my childs medicals which was done and updated as passed in my mycic account.
I send updated pof details a month later to vo without being asked for. My immigration consultant adviced me that they will ask so theres no harm in sending them if they need it they will consider it. As adviced i send the updated funds details.
My concerns
1. My funds r adequate but there are lots of transcations ...many times amount is credited and debited . Does it make any difference to vo to consider it

2. Will this cause a delay in my ppr ( mycic bgc shows not started)
3. My bgc shows not started from past 3 or 4 months ...how long will it take me to get ppr ( rprf date is 5th aug)

Hi all,

Can any one tell me after a security check has been cleared , how long does it take until the VO is sending a passport request (PPR) for stamping visa?

Please advise...

It means you are done
after security check maximum of three or four months for visa stamping, profile updating and issuing COPR.

IF BALANCE REMAINS MORE THAN REQUIRED FUNDS THEN NO HARM IT IS OK OTHERWISE MAY CAUSE DELAY IN PROCESSING.

2. Will this cause a delay in my ppr ( mycic bgc shows not started)
MOSTLY IT IS THE LONGEST PROCESS IN THE WHOLE PROCESS, BUT NO DELAY IN BGC DUE TO FUNDS
3. My bgc shows not started from past 3 or 4 months ...how long will it take me to get ppr ( rprf date is 5th aug)
