3-5 months is for the whole family, PA's being stricter, over stretched. As ur's is likely to be done with ur spouse's'd take the bare minimum timeframe (and that's not to the extent of the PA's), which is why I stated 8-10 weeks.

I too been waiting for my spouse's medical as I sent complete file of spouse on Jan 23,2013 and I confirmed from the bank that my DD of Rs.29150 has en cashed ..Any guess how long will they take for B/C ,S/C as till 21st Feb 2013 they have not opened the file after that might be in the first week of march processing might be started..so how long since march to issue MR!!

B'coz of: Admin delay, different queue for transferee cases, the workload of ISB, case priority, quotas (sometimes) etc.

Couldn't get what u were talking about.
There r just three types of pps, in most countries, 1)Standard pps for the masses, 2)Diplomatic Pps (usually for Foreign Service, MPs & Defence Personnel) and 3)Spl Pps (the ones issued to refugees or semis, w/out granting them a nationality. Usually which is a Travel Document).
Except for Diplomatic Pps (also called "official pps") - the rest r acceptable for PRV stamping by CIC.

I mean my wife is now in Govt job, but when we applied on in 2009 she had private passport.
will it make problem if I dont mention her Govt job in updated document request list?

Post meds, if the PPR doesn't come by 7 months... it's an indicator [usually] that u r stuck under security checks. Many get it in 3-months, few in 5.

What I pereceived from your reply that in POST MEDICAL case, security checks here means further investigation of my son medical reports .Though they did not ask for anything additional with RPRF as they asked some applicants for another police verification or more proof of funds etc. Why they are not calling us for interview?

We have shown a proof of very heavey amount of funds .This is because that our son will not be a burden on their economic or health system.
Please do comment further.

Dear quorax, its been 4 months and 15 days since we had our medical received line, we are waiting for our ppr1, i just wanted to know that if we are stuck in security check maybe, should we apply for GCMS, would it tell us that where we are stuck and why the process is delayed?

Hello Qorax, I am just reading this forum and I see that you know a lot of information. I have a question. On fe 20 I met with my MP to find out whatb was going on with my file.He got back in contact with me right away and he told me that my husband is going to have an interview. I knew that my application wasn't strong enough so I got a lot of info I even took pics of all of our text messages and I emailed kingston immigration. On the Feb 27 my husband got a letter to redo his plice clearance and to send them his original birth certificate. What does this mean? Ther was no mention of an interview???? Thank Samll1 Please reply

Hello Qorax, I have a question. On Feb 20 I contacted my MP to find out what was going on with my file. He informed me that my husband was going to have an interview. When I heard I emailed Kingston immigration extra info to prove my marriage pic, plane ticket, over 100 text messages, a letter from my daughter and a plan for when he comes to Canada. On Feb 27 my husband got a letter requesting his birth certificate and to redo his police clearance. What does this mean?? please reply Samll1

That's a good sign. Signifies that his b/g checks r 'on'. It cannot be anticipated/opined-on whether he'd receive an interview call or not based on ur inputs.

Between May-Jul 2013 u should be receiving ur pps back, stamped.

Pls mention her current job to ur VO. Keeping them updated is a requirement.

At this moment ur GCMS notes might not elicit any good/required info. Pls wait till 5-6 months since meds to get ur PPR-1 or go for the GCMS.
