Did you send your passport to them by your own self? or did they ask you to send it?

Because as i can understand, they may ask you for more requested documents, which mean the file still in process.

So how come, they asked you to submit your passport ? and they still need more clarifications and documents

my brother applied in October 2006 in simplified application programm, there is no further corespondance from LVO and full docs are not requested, the ecase is showing INPROCESS, We start processing your applicaton on 17 october 2006,
my question is his application will be returned or not?

That is definitely "Initial Review". And if it wasn't finished and you didn't get to "In Process" then your application (as pre-February 2008) will returned and refunded.

Dear salvasz,,sir one more question that what does they do in the initial review and how much time they often takes to complete the task.

My current e-cas says "We reviewed your file and started processing on Jan 30, 2012". Neither me nor my employer have received any verification call till date. No further requirements have been asked for by NDVO. In my CAIPS report, it is stated that security checks are complete.

My question is "How long a visa office can take my case without doing anything. Its almost 6 months from the In Process date, and I have heard nothing from VO. When will I receive further instructions - MR / additional document request? Is there any timeline up to which Visa Offices are required to take an action, once the file has turned to IN PROCESS?

I made inqury to chc and they reply me this Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi .

We acknowledge that our office has received your original passport(s) and right of lending fee for this application.

Due to the high volume of correspondence received by this office, it generally takes several days following receipt to process passports and place them on file. The file is then directed to the attention of a processing team for a review to take place to ensure all requirements have been met for the application to move to the next steps in processing.

This file is currently pending review by the responsible processing team and a decision by the officer. As soon as that review has taken place, our office will contact the applicants if any further documentation or information is required.

Please note that all statutory requirements must be met before we can issue visas. We therefore cannot provide you with a precise date by which this application will be finalized and the passports returned. Your continued patience is appreciated. Rest assured that we give the highest processing priority to cases which are ready for visa issuance for which passports have been submitted. Until we contact the applicant or authorized representative, either to request additional documents or information or to return the passports, we will not be able to respond to further enquiries.
So please. Reply me how long I have to wait for my pp with visa
My time line is I did my medical on 28 feb 2012 and send pp on 15 march with Pcc so please advise me

I am an applicant of April 2004, did medicals in October 2011 and my ECAS staus is showing " In Process". I received following reply from London office on July 19, 2012.
Dear Applicant,
In response to your email, please note that your file is still undergoing routine background checks. As advised in our previous email, background checks are mandatory and must be completed before further processing of any file.
Please be advised that these checks could take several months to complete. We are therefore unable to advise when further instructions will be issued, however, please rest assured that we will contact you as soon as the results have been received.

What date they finished with your security checks and how log it took? for example: start date and finish date of security checks

I would like to share to all the goodnews I got my PPR today...you are right Sir Qorax I got it after few days, Thanks a lot for all your inputs, and I had a question again Sir pls.? My dependent is the Phil. backhome should I ask them to send my daughter passport here in Canada and send to La office together with mine or should my dependent send her passport alone to Local Canadian visa office in Philippines ? Pls. help I'm kinda confuse here, no instructions with regards of dependents outside Canada in the email though,Thanks again. your help guys are also welcome.
