Hi Sir Qorax!

Me and my friends forwarded our Passports to Visa office on the same day. After a week my friend already got her passport back from VO while I didn't. Now, it's almost a month of waiting for it. What do you think is the reason why there is a delay of stamping for our passports? Are background and security checks are still carried on on this phase? Is there still a room for denial after Passport Request? Thanks!

Dear Shaikh Sahib, It took me about 5 months from medicals. I would throw inquiry email after every two months. When did u go for medical?

Thanks for reply Rajpar, I did my medical in July 2011, ecas changed to "medical received, and application in process in October 2012" they requested police Clarence certificate of my wife in October 2011. I sent the certificate in November 2011.

My last enquiry to buffalo before closing down, on 8th May 2012, they said my file requires additional BG checks and will be sent to Ottawa for processing. I got my caips/GCMS on June 6th,2012. From the file it Is clear they have done crimanility, eligibility, RCMP screening and medical all passed for both of us but security section is blanked out. On some pages it says it started on 12th December 2011 but based on email from buffalo it means they haven't started it by May 2012.

My recent enquiry to Ottawa they said my file is unde
Undergoing BG check... If it takes 5-6 months, the thing I don't know is when did they started it? Now my medical is expired too.

Any ideas when did they actually started BG checks and how long it will take? My last enquiry to MP, his assistance said they have forwarded my cease to international agencies and they are waiting for the response.

I noticed a minor error in my 'Additional Family Information' IMM5406 form that I submitted last year. I entered the wrong year of birth for one of my siblings, so instead of it being 1976, I put in 1975. I only noticed this error since the VO has asked me to send updated forms. I will put in the correct year of birth for my sibling this time on form IMM5406 but my question is, should I also mention this change (1975 in previous IMM5406 submitted back in September '11 to 1976 in current IMM5406) in my cover letter?

yes you should...just mention it happened due to a typo and have corrected the mistake in new form

It'a not a big deal. In the same form I filled applicant and spouse and wrong place. So I sent updated form and explained the mistake in cover letter.

According to the CAIPS notes, BC are going on my file. BFD was 08-03-2012.

My FTH is NIL. I have no issues/cases against me with court.

What the hell for they are scrutinizing?

I would like to share to all the goodnews I got my PPR today...you are right Sir Qorax I got it after few days, Thanks a lot for all your inputs, and I had a question again Sir pls.? My dependent is the Phil. backhome should I ask them to send my daughter passport here in Canada and send to La office together with mine or should my dependent send her passport alone to Local Canadian visa office in Philippines ? Pls. help I'm kinda confuse here, no instructions with regards of dependents outside Canada in the email though,Thanks again. your help guys are also welcome.
