Dear Qorax,

Today, I received my CAIPS report in which there is nothing except 10 points for my age. One line written in caipts read as "PAPER FILE SENT TO MPR - FILE BF'D TO FRR ON 21-01-2011" What does this mean? Is this my BF'D? If yes, then its already passed. No other BF'D mentioned in caips report. How can I know when my case will be looked into by the VO?

Hello Friends

Here is little info about my case

2004 original application submitted in Islamabad.
File moved to London in April 2011.
Got a request to submit all the documentation and forms again. Did that in May / June 2011.
Got a medical request in August 2011. Medical was done in Islamabad and send over to London in September 2011.
Since then its been hush hush quite quite.

I have been looking at applications on various websites and it looks like people who did there medical in June, July and August of 2011, most of them have gotten PPR1 and PPR2 in couple of months. Like October and November of 2011.

If I take that time line as a baseline, within 2 - 3 months of Medical send, people are getting there PPR1 & 2. That means there should be something coming for me in December 2011 or January 2012.
Am I correct in my assumptions? or it just varies from case to case?

PPR1 and PPR2 requests both come via email or regular mail?

What is the time difference between PPR1 and PPR2? Meaning how long does CIC takes, to send PPR2 after PPR1 has been send?

What should i do? get a CAIPS report or wait?

I know there was vacation period between Dec 23, 2011 thru Jan 3rd, 2012.

Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Varies for every case.. So don't get so hyped about it..some times even a interview can be conducted after medicals. So just wait and pray.. No need for caips at this stage..

Simple words?
They'd like to doubly ensure that u r FIT for Canada.
Or, if Canada is FIT for u... probably u'd like to put it that way!

Hello Friends

I have heard there are many different kind of e-Cas status, for example:
e-Cas: "Received by Visa Office"
e-Cas: "In Process"
e-Cas: "Medical Results Recd"
e-Cas: "Decision Made"

I am 2004 Applicant from Islamabad.
Application moved to London CIC in April 2011.
Medical received in August 2011.
Medical Send in September 2011.

My e-Cas status has been "In Process" since 2004.

I also know there is PPR1 and PPR2 also. There is Security check that also happens before PPR2 is issued

My question is when does status changes from "In Process" to "Medical Results Recd" or "Decision Made"

In my case does that means, CIC London has not yet received my medical or are they doing Security check or ???

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

They work on many things, w.r.t. ur claim [on ur apps].
They'd like to verify whether ur quals, exp, ur college/univ., travel pattern, marriage, docs submitted etc. r actually sanguine & what u state as.

Though there r lots of assumptions taken by the IO, they also fwd & await responses from 3rd parties [Pvt.* as well as Govtl agencies]... this is where the time it takes, besides waiting to beat the queue [backlog].

1. 'RBVO' is the 1st e-CAS... sometimes standalone, while at times 'inside' in-process.
2. 'In Process' is the main status, which also lasts the longest... means ur file is being worked upon.
3. 'MR' shall only be placed inside in-process once the meds r 'seconded' by Ottawa. And usually depicted when the security is also cleared.
4. 'DM' occurs when the pps r stamped, or [God Forbid] there's a rejection@any stage.
5. 'Completed' is the last e-CAS status, denoting that u have 'landed' and ur PR card apps is being processed.

Note: How much time it'd take for me [to move from one to another] -- cannot be opined b'coz it depends on many factors & is case-to-case basis. Besides it should also be remembered that the e-CAS and our actual processing isn't in sync... the e-CAS being managed by a different cell of CIC, which awaits the input/s of the IOs & take their own admin time to work.

Dear Qorax,

SG CIC informed us to submit the update doc if any.
Would you kindly inform, after submiting the all updated doc how many days will SG CIC need to process the files?
Do you have any idea?

Thank you Quorax for replying back to my previous post and explaining to me various e-cas status.

I do have a follow up question
So is it possible for some one to get PPR1 or PPR2 and e-cas still showing as "in-process". As you said that e-cas and CIC are kinda different systems or managed by different teams?

Secondly some people are showing on there status
Med's requested xx-xx-xx date
Med's send xx-xx-xx date
Med's received xx-xx-xx date
I understand how people know when the Med's send date is, because doctors tells you when Med's was sent.
But how do people know what Med's received date is? Because you dont get any confirmation from CIC when they receive the Med's.
Does this means people are getting CAIPS reports to figure out Med's received date?

Thanks

Med's requested xx-xx-xx date: The date u recd ur med forms.
Med's send xx-xx-xx date: The date ur DMP sent the med reports, to RMO [s/he'd info u].
Med's received xx-xx-xx date: The date depicted on courier's site as receipt of the med reports [u track it].

For Qorax
i appreciate the good work you put in these forums. you are a big help. I have a question for you.
How sure are you that meds received line appears only after the results are seconded by ottawa?thanks
