hello guys i have similar concern. i am aware that even if i apply fpr PR within Canada my file will still go to Delhi in India. what all do they check in background check? I dont have any criminal record hence im not worried about that but im scared of other background check. So please inform me what checks do they perform?

If you are Inland applicants, your application will be processed in Canada.
However, IRCC (CIC) does work in partnership with the local authorities.

During Background Check, they check out the information you mentioned in your application (jobs experiences, marital status, family members, trips abroad, studies...) and they also check your security and your criminality.

We don't really know what they check, but I can tell you one thing from my own experience : CIC is extremely successful and good to unveil things that applicants might have hidden in their application.

By the way, may you share what are you scared of ? Maybe you just worry too much !

Im scared that one of my employer has shut down his clinic. I have my experience letter from him from 2015 but when CIC officers investigate that clinic wont exist anymore. then what happens?

u will be safe. u ca provide your employers contact information and get away with it
