Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
All,

I apologize if this question has already been answered elsewhere. I could not find the right answer for this situation.

I am the primary applicant and my wife is around 2 months pregnant. I have already got my ECA and IELTS result. According to CRS tool my score is 444 and I will apply for OINP once it opens in November. My question is, what if our baby is born after getting the OINP nomination but before submitting application on Express Entry profile ?

I understand that i will have to update my EE profile with an addition in family and will have to submit appropriate documents regarding the birth of our baby but do we need to notify nomination authorities of Ontario as well? If yes, would I have to also send anydocuments to them OR any additional fee ?

Thanks in advance for help..

If your wife is already 2 months pregnant and IF you received an EOI from OINP in November, it is unlikely you will receive the nomination prior to the kid birth unless there is a real chance in their processing speed. Keep in mind that some candidates who applied in September/October 2015 are still waiting for their nomination, that is 12 months ago

Woha.. That's a lot of time. By that time, there are chances that score might come down to 444 itself. Do you think I should just wait for score to come down OR I should still go ahead and apply for for OINP once it opens?

Provided score comes down early next year, would I get ITA even if I have sent an EOI for OINP and documentation sent is in review stage ?

The honest answer is that it's a gamble either way. No one knows when the scores will drop and by how much.
So the question is really whether or not you want to spend an extra $1500+ to increase your chance of moving to Canada, or if you want to wait and keep your fingers crossed.

Yes. In this situation, you simply accept the ITA, and withdraw your OINP application. You won't get the $1500 application fee back, though.

Thanks for your reply Sir!

In that case, i would rather spend $1500 and gonna try my luck with OINP.

Also, there is no harm in applying for multiple provinces right ? I was looking at PEI nomination program as well and it seems like their processing time is far better than OINP. Actually, I luckily got CLB9 in my first attempt of IELTS (Exam given on 30th July 2016) and want to ensure I do my best to get ITA before it expires.

Good choice; if I were in your position, I would definitely try for PNP.

Yes, you can apply for multiple provinces without any problems.

Yeah, will go for PNP.

Thanks for your prompt response and for giving me the right direction. Much appreciated!
