hi everyone,

I have been in Canada for 3 months now and I happen to have impregnated a Canadian woman accidentally from a one night stand.
she says she will not get rid of it cuz she wants the baby and she is capable enough to cover all the cost by herself.
what implications has this got on me and my status as an international student ?

1. well, I was only worried because I am still a student and not psychologically and financially prepared to support a baby, but now that I have her assurance that she is going to take care of everything. I am a little bit relaxed, its just a matter of time that I get to adjust to the shock.....I am ready to take full charge once I start working.

2. I have been talking to a councellor and this is helping me adjust to the trend.

3. Asian guys are funny, you want to take notes from my problem for your strategy...lol...I wish you well but just be careful....I feel lucky to have someone who understands my situation and ready to support.

4.. whoever asked me to check her passport...lol...I have confirmed, she is Canadian.

Having a baby with someone doesn't make them marital partners in any way. At least not in Canada. You can have sex without being in a relationship or being married. If sex results in a baby, that still doesn't mean the parents are in a relationship or will get married.

His status will not be affected because of the baby. He will still have to find a way to apply for his PR if he wants to stay in Canada.

However, if he and the mother of his baby do start a relationship, she would be able to sponsor him for PR if they get married or if they live together as a couple for at least 1 year.

You and Abdul hannan are absolutely disgusting. You find this situation funny? The OP has done a STUPID thing and he doesnt have to bear the consequences so he doesnt care. What about the child? He/she will grow up and find out that they were born because the mom and dad could not keep things zipped up - not because they wanted a child. His/her birth was a mistake. Thats really going to make a child feel nice and loved :
