Autistic child to extend visitor visa

I applied for a visitor visa for my son who is on the autism spectrum. He is currently Outland and I am on a work permit in Canada. It has been showing reviewing medical results for over a month. How long does it usually take? I didn’t believe it would take this long since it’s just a visitor visa.

There is a backlog when it comes to reviewing medicals. You may also be asked to provide more health information and reports from specialists. Even though this is just a TRV your child will have access to the healthcare system so they will be evaluated to see if they will place excessive demand on the system.

Yes . The application was approved by IRCC . Note the application was to extend the visitor permit for my child who is inside Canada .
