Yes, Suin - few ppl have done that and I am myself waiting for 1 year ext - but not sure if it can be 2 + 2

Have you done so with success? 2+2 or at least 2+1?

In our case we managed to keep our mom here with us for 5 years keeping extending her stay.

That's actually amazing.

If I understand correctly, your mom was on regular visit visa with which she was allowed to stay for maximum of 6 months. How long was her visa valid though? Did you have to renew the visa as well within this 5 year period?

In my mom's case, both her SuperVisa and Passport are expiring in Jan, 2017. But her 2-year stay permit will expire sooner in Oct, 2016. If I want to extend her stay; I guess I have to apply 30 days before Oct of 2016 ends (with a new passport). But since her visa will still be valid for another 3 months - won't it make problem? CIC may just extend her stay permit for another 3 months. That's what confuses me.

Good day seniors, my husband is coming over for masters. Myself and my 3 sons have visiting visas. My 1st son visa will expire in dec 17th 2015 while d rest of us will expire next year. My husband will be coming to resume in sch by 1St week in December 2015. My plan is to join my hubby in canada next year with my sons so I can apply for work permit in my country since its taking too long to get in canada. The question now is about my son that his visa will expire in dec. I want to know if he can come in with his father when his father is coming to canada to resume sch? If father and son will not have problems with immigration people? He will be 5 years old then. Thank you in advance for your help
