Some people wait months. There really is no set timeline.Hello, please I have an approved eta nd have requested for an authorization letter because I am an extended family member and wish to see my sister, this is over 25 days now and I haven't heard anything. Anybody with a similar scenario?
Oh wow! Some people wait months. There really is no set timeline.
Oh yes I did, 25 days ago, haven't heard anything till now....Did you apply through webform?
But even with an approved eta, does one still need the authorization letter to travel?Oh yes I did, 25 days ago, haven't heard anything till now....
It depends on who you are wanting to visit in Canada. But even with an approved eta, does one still need the authorization letter to travel?
In your first post, you say visit sister. Still need written authorization to travel. My brother who is a permanent resident in Canada
In that case you do need authorization to board an airplane at this time. The eTA alone is not sufficient. Hopefully you'll have an answer soon.My brother who is a permanent resident in Canada
Ok thanks, will wait thenIn that case you do need authorization to board an airplane at this time. The eTA alone is not sufficient. Hopefully you'll have an answer soon.
There are no direct flights to Canada from India due to the ban so even citizens can’t travel directly. She doesn’t need written authorization.Question. I am a Canadian citizen. My wife (Indian) got her IM-1 visa in March, 2021 and she is stuck in India because all the flights are banned from India. Because she is my spouse. has a valid visa and want to permanently settle to Canada, she wouldn't need a written authorization to travel, right? My question is that can she still travel directly to Canada even though there is a ban?
Thanks a bunch. Just wanted to confirm. There are no direct flights to Canada from India due to the ban so even citizens can’t travel directly. She doesn’t need written authorization.
