Hello house,I am new in the house.I need an urgent advice for my friend and spouse. They applied for this FSWP and the application was received by CIC in August 11th 2011 under 'Medicine' thru an agent.Just 2 days ago,the agent notified them of the mail from CIC written since Oct 21.The letter was the medical request,RPRF and police Certificate, sent from CIC thru their Accra office.

Their poor excuse was that their company changed their e-mail address so they did not know on time!!!They were so angry with the guy and now currently depressed because the letter said smth like failure to send the requested documents within 60 days of their writing the letter could result in refusal of the application. Its now almost 70 days!!!What are their chances?Any need for covering letter?Anything to improve their chances? Thanks and God bless you.

Welcome back Arese...we were all concerned about you - no chat nor contribution to the forum.
We believe God - It is well. The vision is for an appointed time - God will do that which only HIM can do at the right time.
Also advisable to request for CSE as per ekundapsy's suggestion.

All my people out there - I want to sincerely wish you all a very delightful 2014 in advance. May we all rejoice openly before everyone with rewarding gifts from CIC and AVO on PERs, MRs, PPRs, PRVs, in Jesus name, Amen.

Yup. Wait can be very excruciatingly slow. I'm a victim myself. At one time, I even had to TOTALLY immerse myself in another endeavor and forgot about the Canadian permanent resident stuff totally.

However, on November 4th, I got my Medical Request along with the request to pay my RPRF, to do a new police report and to update schedule A and additional family information form.

I've since done all that and submitted the requested document via DHL WITH confirmation of arrival at the Accra Visa Office. Now waiting again for the next stage.

My opinion of the FSW Canadian PR is that it's just too slow. I applied since July of 2011, and my first correspondence with the Accra visa office was just last month, the 4th of November 2013, almost 26 months away.

So many things can happen in this time.

Still believe that God has a plan though. Que Sera sera. Whatever will be, will be. But me strongly feel the Canadian visa offices ought be faster. Or at least give applicants a more credible realistic time frame, instead of the vague responses one gets when you make a CSE on your application!

Hi Cute2014, must confess I haven't encountered such before but I think the principal applicant should reach AVO to explain the situation/circumstances at hand. Also, the agent in question should do the same. This should be via emails & courier mails.
Hopefully, they will be kind & not stick to the 60-day mark so rigidly.
Wish the couple in question the very best.

You guys are the best. It's an honor to be here with you ALL in this forum. :D

Hello guys. I need some help here. I just got this from the visa office at Accra. Lemme quote it with some editing;

"Dear Afewgoodmen:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

Xxxxxxx

Pay the processing fee. Please be advised that we are unable to cash the draft (US$150.00) you sent for this payment as we do [NOT] accept drafts of less than US$300.00. Kindly get the Canadian $ or Ghana cedi equivalent. The said draft has been returned to you by registered mail. For current fees, consult: website..."

It's awful because the bank (ECOBANK) that I used that generated the USD bank draft say that they can't do a bank draft in Canadian dollars or Ghanaian Cedis. I'm quite confused now.

How do I get a bank draft in Ghanaian Cedis or Canadian dollars? How did you guys do yours? Can anyone help me out and point me to the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

Afewgoodmen
