Thanks for replying
will a Uk caution makes me inadmissable to Canada ? I have email cic in the past if a police caution will make me inadmissable but they replied no. My ecas has been updated 2 weeks ago , two days ago I got an email from VO that I should provide court disposition letter and the Acticle of UK law on which I was charge in may 2011, another email followed that they have recalled their previous email to me. I called the VO yesterday I was told never to provide the requested document again. I am still confuse if this is a good sign, because I only have a police caution. I was never charge to court and did not appear before any judge. Will this caution makes me inaddimissable ? Any advice will be helpful. Has anyone in this forum knows any one that is been admitted into Canada with a UK caution?

Hello All,

I am a newbie into this forum earnestly waiting for Accra VO is respond

Please I have a question that bothers me. I need to understand why some people have a timeline indicating just PER recieved while others have AOR recieved. Can any one explain the difference between these 2 and what they mean and their sequence?

@ Arese: i share this same timeline with you as I have only recieved PER since October 2011 whilst others have AOR...Any explanation?

whizkid82, you are welcome on board. PER is Permanent Eligibility Review, which is issued by CIC Nova Scotia after your initial application is received and reviewed by them. AOR is Acknowledgement of Receipt which is sent by AVO, when they request for update from you. PER usually comes before AOR. I hope this clarifies your doubt.

Dear Whizkid82, Welcome on board to this great forum.
The definitions of the terms are as stated by Ikemba.
The PER is all I've gotten these past 17 months, apart from an acknowledgement of receipt of documents for an additional dependent.
Hang in there! The wait will soon be over.

In addition to what Ikemba explained. Accra does not usually send AOR. I just received mine a week ago when I inquired about additional family inclusion in my application. I am adding a newborn to my application.

does anyone know how long it takes to open a domicilliary account with gtb and how long it takes them to issue bank draft. Can I also obtain the draft in Canadian dollars instead of US dollars?

Thanks a lot great guys.

I am a lot relieved now as I have been worried about this PER status quite different from others with AOR and

I pray we all get a response from AVO soonest

God help us all

Mandie I feel you sister, waiting 21 months is not easy. I wish they had a system where you cld pay some more money to have your application fast tracked. God only knows how long we would have to wait between medical request and passport request.
I regret not applying together with my hubby when he did the work permit in london, I had had a new baby and I was eager to come home and get help from my mum. Now it would be pointless to go back to london cos he's not there, I almost want to convince him to abandon canada so we can go back to london. Ok guys enough of my moaning, have a good day y' all.

Hey, I feel you too! It has not been easy cos I never imagined it would take this long. Our AVO seems to be in a world of its own but I am positive that this month will not end without some sort of update.....
Let's continue to trust in God...He makes all things possible in his own time.

Hello Mandie, welcome back, where have you been since all this while?. Well, take it easy, we are all getting closer each day to MR and PPR. One day all these issues wil be a story to tell once we are landed.

Hello guys, I just called the visa and immigration section in accra. They no longer take calls regarding application enquiries but I stayed on to listen to the automated message. Just before the end of the message, it says 'permanent residence applications received in JANUARY 2002 are CURRENTLY been assessed to determine if interview waived or not'
The phone number is 00233 30 2211 521. I'm hoping that someone else could confirm this? What does it mean?

Abie, I just called and I can confirm the Jan 2002. But that is not our portion my dear.....in fact it's out back case. The MR is in the offing. Just watch this space!
Everyone should be on the alert for that MR mail or that post announcing MR soon :P
