@ Shaddy, Are you really sure the result is poor?

Teetoo,
In support of Jodav3 and Ofonzo, the result isn't bad! You can apply with it in May.
But if you have money to take another IELTS, you can go ahead to improve on the result.

Good luck!

I fully support the opinion or school of thought that says d result is poor. With the changes in the FSW criteria, Applicant with no outstanding score in IELTS may find it difficult to meet the pass mark except such Applicant is young enough to score all the marks in Age and may be Adaptability. If you study the proposed changes, you'll noticed it was skewed to emphasize Language more which is belive to be a key factor to adapting to Canada work life quickly. The overrall result of 6.5 will not likely land him the pass mark.

Dear Teetoo, I want to welcome you on board this forum.
I would sincerely advice you give the IELTS general module exam another try, aiming for higher scores in all bands of the exam.
This is to help you procure the needed maximum when your application is assessed for language capability.
You never know if this will be the decider on which your overall eligibility is hinged on; especially if one is not so strong "points-wise" in other areas been assessed!
Wish you the very best.
