AVO is trying to clear the Ml 1 (although so slow at it).
Other VOs such as LVO NDVO, MVO and PVO have started treating Ml2 & 3. These VOs have been treating MI 2/3 since day one :P :P :P

AVO pls wake up, I say wake up to perform the duties concerning the outstanding.
Work must start with M2 & 3 like other VO offices in JMNA. I concur with you on this one......Surely there is only one more week left in August. Please, AVO, do as other VOs are doing.... :(

Alpharm, time to start the hunger strike .
Avo must do something next week/month. Gbam

@ Gabil
Don't worry,AVO will surely do something next week. So I reserve my hunger

Hello guys,

I understand your optimism. But do not think that all other VOs have started to work on MI2&3. VVO for instance (Vienna) have also not started anything on MI2&3 considering the very few hundreds of backlog they have compared with several thousands in Accra. The only difference I see is that Vienna was more specific by their timeline so u can calculate when u can expect to here from them.

So in my case, by my calculation and some other guys that I know, the minimum time we expect to start hearing from them begins from the middle of September while the maximum time is the middle of December. We are allowed to inquire about our case in case the max time is exceeded and we have heard nothing from them. Such inquiry would only be addressed if sent when the max time is exceeded i.e sometimes towards the end of Dec.

So what difference does it make? The timeline helps a lot, I have known since May that I would wait till Sept at least and till Dec at most. In you guy's case, it is difficult if u are not given timeline, it means you have to be hoping for MR week in week out. That can be very tiring and boring. I believe that Accra might also be working towards a similar timeline but since they are busier, they might not have the time to start sending mails to ppl

Just to let you all know what is going on in some other V.Os. I don't know if you would consider this a useful information or not.

I follow this thread for 3 reasons:
1) I like to know what is happening in other VOs
2) I fall under the MI2&3 category though my case is in Vienna
3) Most importantly, I am a Nigerian and I am interested in Nigerians

I would come back here soon to congratulate u all during the impending MR eruption and the obvious PPR that will closely follow because the CIC is committed to clearing all backlogs before they start bringing in new ones in January.

Cheers!

Dear Anvaller,

Welcome to the thread. Your observations are spot on. It is very frustrating when you are not given a timeline when your case will be complete. We are AVO are hopeful that September will start the avalanche of MRs....till then, we have to continue waiting...With fresh intakes happening somewhere in March 2013 if not earlier, Accra has no choice than to clear its files whether MI 1,2 or 3.
PS: the wait is FRUSTRATING!!!!

Brother
May God bless those fingers that typed the lines above. Together we will all celebrate. Good to know the reasons for being here.

I have a feeling that the MI 1 its almost done and the MI 2 & 3 will kick in soon after that and it will take a very short space of time to clear out the whole of it.

About 30,000 applications world wide will take less time.

NDVO and LVO may acoount for close to 40% of the entire applications and Accra may have less than 100 in their inventory. with about 5 IO's you can be sure that in 30-60 days PPR will flood the whole place.

Cheers and Happy waiting time.

I have been saving the excel sheets of quarterly data release on data.gc.ca. Wanted to share the data which shows that the files of MI1 applicants are being worked upon. The MI1 inventory comparison of April 2011 Vs April 2012 is mentioned below. This is the data for the total number of applications for all CHC offices worldwide:

Inventory of MI1 applications with CHC offices worldwide
No. of cases No. of persons
As on 1st April 2011 52423 141098
As on 1st April 2012 32641 91104

Inventory of MI1 applications with CHC New Delhi
No. of cases No. of persons
As on 1st April 2011 8130 20639
As on 1st April 2012 5053 13236

Looking at the data, one can make out that they are working on the MI 1 applications. Though the speed is very slow as compared to MI2 and MI3, but at least we can be hopeful that the cases would be cleared.
That would help pep up the optimistic attitude of all the forum members

A guy went to a native doctor and said; I want to know how bright my destiny will be?. The native doctor drew a circle with a white chalk and another circle with a black chalk. right. If it crawls into the black circle, it means your destiny will be dark. The native doctor began making the incantations, the dead millipede started crawling. When it got in between the two circles, it turned and started crawling towards the black circle. The guy watched. As it was about to crawl into the black circle, the guy got up, picked it up and gently dropped it on the white circle. The native doctor got angry and asked; why did you do that?. The guy replied; I can't fold my arms and watch my destiny crawl into darkness, because my destiny is in my hands.lol

Hey Guys, what's up? Can somebody lighten up this thread. Its been so quiet :( :( :(

Last night at dinner, little Akpos was asked to lead in prayer.
Akpos: But I don't know how to pray?
DAD: Just pray for your family members.
Akpos: "Dear Lord," he started, "thank u for giving me such lovely parents.
Thanks for our visitors and their children, who finished all my cookies
and ice cream.
Bless dem so dat they won't come again.
Forgive our neighbor's son, who removed my sister's clothes and wrestled
with her on her bed.
This coming Xmas, pls send clothes to all those poor naked ladies on my
daddy's blackberry
and provide shelter for the homeless men who use mom's room when daddy is
at work, AMEN!"

Welcome on Board Anvaller, our fellow Naija. your submission is okay after all September is here by the corner.
All l know is that AVO must complete processing of all the backlogs.
We have prayed for them at AVO and our prayers will be answered. It wont returned back to us unanswered in Jesus Name.
Let keep our fingers crossed.
