Please all, am a bit confused. Which date is an application filled as indicated on the timeline in the forum? Is it the date applicant sends his/her application or the the date e-cas states the application was received?

Dear Forumites.

I thank you all for the rain and showers of best wishes and congratulatory messages.

My application date was 5th of July 2011. It was among applications received in the first week of the MI3 cycle. NOC Code is Social Worker.

Please advise. Prior to the receipt of my MR, I just arrived Dubai for one month vacation with my wife this week Tuesday. To save time, will Accra accept medical report from among their chosen Doctors/Hospitals in Dubai if I chose to undergo the medical here while on vacation or we should rather wait until our return to Nigeria to do the medical since report will be sent to them directly from the Hospital? Is it allowed to run the medical from outside applicants home country of residence? Has anyone in the house experience anything similar to this where medical was undergone in country where applicant is not resident? I don't want to take chances. At the same time, I don't want to waste time in reverting to them with the medicals. Please advise based on your past experiences please.

You can do your medical in any of the DMP on CIC approved list. In other words, you can do it in Dubia. Just print out the medical forms and with your International passport you are good if its e-medical the DMP is operating otherwise, you will need passport photographs. However, you should also be mindful of the fact that you must have been given a time frame for the Visa office to receive all the documents they have requested from you which in most cases is 60days, so you will also need to plan how to ensure Accra receives the updated forms, PCC, RPRF etc on schedule.
