What I would recommend is making flash cards. Find a bunch of practice tests online and write all the date questions (or any questions you struggle with) down on a card with the answer on the back of each card. As in, one card per question. Question and the four answer options on the front, correct answer on the back. Then just test yourself daily or even several times per day until you get them all correct. Repetition can work really well to help you memorize this stuff. For those who have appeared for the test- how important it is to remember all the years and dates? did your test have a lot of questions on dates? I am struggling to remember all the years. Any tips?
Here is an update of my situation - I have taken the test and background is completed.
