Had citizenship oath on October 18, received certificate on Monday, Oct 24. Decision made end of September. Good luck to everyone else who is still waiting!

Congrats - Did you request urgent delivery of the certificate?

According to the IRCC website, "In most cases, the ceremony takes place 3 to 4 months after you pass the test." https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=363&top=5

If you've been waiting over 4 months since Decision Made, it might be worth going on Twitter about it to put some pressure. I decided to do so and tag a news network that's covering this problem.

Good for you. Which news network is this?

Unfortunately IRCC is just going to give the standard COVID justification of delays and say they can't accurately predict processing times and the processing time is 26 months blah blah.... but I think that excuse has gotten really weak given that 2022 paper applications are clearly consistently being processed in 3-6 months.

Almost 6 months waiting for an oath ceremony date. Last Thursday I received another canned response from IRCC to one of my multiple attempts to get real answers:

Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that the application is still in process.

All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.

Due to the impacts of COVID-19, we cannot process applications normally and we cannot provide accurate processing times for most applications.

We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible and we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize them as soon as possible.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.

If I were you, I would call the phone center and ask where the application currently is. It might be at your original office or sometimes it's transferred to another office for oath. Once you find out where, you can write an email to that office. I don't think they have any pending questions about your application since it's already at DM so it's just waiting for someone to send an invite.

Webforms are pretty much useless.

Yeah, they're still blaming COVID for their delays. Here's the news article I referenced from CTV Vancouver: https://bc.ctvnews.ca/canadian-citizenship-delays-cause-frustration-1.5730747

Same here, I have been waiting more than 6 months since the test was done.

Any idea if your file was transferred too ?

8 months after the test and 9 months after BGC complete, got a fingerprint request again today. BGC in progress again. feels like groundhog day movie.
I don't why they are just not more transparent on the application forms, e.g.:
1. dates that it will next be review - even if its 12 months time
2. Or even a date range

it would stop people wondering and chasing them for dates.

They are so damm incompetent. My guess is they don't do anything for months and all of a sudden they realize they need new FP because of their laziness and incompetency.
