all steps updated to completed status on June 29th . Oath ceremony showing NOT STARTED yet ,any idea when will be getting email for the oath ceremony date? anyone here who can provide some info
Thanks

Someone told me that they give museum passes, provincial parks passes etc. during oath ceremony. Is it true? I know this is not a very important question to ask here.. but I was curious. Wanted to visit ROM this weekend, but I can wait few more days (hopefully not months) for free passes :)

You can download the Canoo app and use your citizenship cert to get an annual pass for Parks Canada. Interestingly, I discovered you could alternatively use your PR card too for the same benefit! (no double dipping though :) )

Anyone recently called up the IRCC to get updates on their application ?

I called them up today and I was simply told that as long as I am under 27 months of application they can’t help me and can’t give me any updates too.

You need to be in Canada to take the Oath of Citizenship. If you get your invitation while you’re outside Canada, reply to the invitation email to explain your situation in detail.

In your email

  • put “Outside Canada – Oath of Citizenship” in the subject line
  • In the body of your message, include
    • your full name
    • your application number
    • a detailed explanation of your situation
We’ll contact you with your next steps after we receive your email.

Yes, but in most cases they will just reschedule the Oath once the applicant returns to Canada.

Yeah that’s their generic response….kinda felt helpless when I called them couple weeks ago.

Hey, for the fingerprints did GRC sent the results directly to cic or did you receive it to your home your self and you had to send it to cic.
And what was your time line to receive the result please
Thank you

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. My spouse applied for citizenship and got a request to provide fingerprints. We received the document from RCMP today by mail. It looks like we have to send the fingerprints to IRCC ourselves. Just wondering if we can scan the document and use the webform here (https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp) to provide them? Or if we have to send the document by mail/courier to the office specify in the letter. Ours is the Montreal office.

The timeline for the tracker
Online application
Single
Sent August 29th 2021
AOR November 16th 2021
Ghost updates April 5th and 6th 2022
FP request May 26th 2022
Fingerprints sent to RCMP on May 26th 2022
Fingerprints received from RCMP on June 2nd 2022 (the fingerprints were processed on May 30 (date on document), mailed on June 1st (stamp on letter) and received on June 2nd)

On the IRCC portal, it shows an update on May 27th but nothing has change in the application history beside the AOR on Novembre16th. The fingerprints request does not appear. Which is why I am wondering how we are suppose to send them the document.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

It was sent directly to RCMP, took them 1 week to send the result to IRCC. IRCC took a month to update the background check.

an update from my end: everything turned completed on june 29th except for citizenship ceremony. Decision made also appeared on the old tracker. Do you guys know how much time from DM to ceremony? i can't open the tracker to view the average myself.... hope you guys are next, hang tight :)
