I would say if you are prepared well then test is easy. To feel prepared, first thing is to read Discover Canada entirely and highlight what you think is important. After reading, do practice tests in apnatoronto, Richmond library and 414 Questions on Youtube. Surprisingly, when you read the book again at the end you will realize that you actually covered almost all the questions.
All the best!

Thanks for the nice advice.

What's the link for Richmond Library, I tried few and google but couldn't find, mind sharing please?
Also the 414 questions of YouTube?

Hi,
The YT 414 questions link is here
I went through this video once at x2 and highlighted those points in the Discover Canada book. Now you will have an idea of how much you have covered and what type of question will be asked. Read the book a couple of times and then practice a few mocks on apnatoronto website or local library citizenship test 1 (Toronto) or test 2 (Richmond).

Make sure you are through with the contents of Discover Canada.

Nice!
I am applied from Edmonton as well. Based on your timeline, I should hopefully have an update for a test invite next week. My BG was completed on Mar 25.

Hey all,
Completed my test last evening with a score of 19/20. Would like to share my experience in the buildup to the test and the test itself.

Make sure you read the Discover Canada book a few times. All the answers are in there.
Also, read the instructions email well beforehand so that there are no surprises during your Sign-In process ( 9 steps to complete before the test ).

If you haven't started preparation, the best way is to
  1. Go through the Youtube video Canadian Citizenship Test 2022 (414 Questions - updated).
    • Highlight the contexts of these answers in your Discover Canada book.
    • You will now have an understanding of what type of questions could be asked and also build up a basic knowledge of the subject.
  2. Thoroughly read the Discover Canada book at least a couple of times. ( I got a question based on the picture inserts in the book and 3 questions on the Nation and Royal Anthem ).
  3. Now quiz yourself - either the same YouTube video ( at x2 speed) or a mock test website like ApnaToronto.
  4. If you are doing good there. You are almost ready for the test. Revise one last time if needed.
Strike the iron while it's hot! - Don't wait - Don't Doubt.

With respect to the test. The pre-test Sign-In process takes the longest time. Especially aligning the Photo ID card within the Green boundaries and getting a clear photo of the same.

Once you are on the test screen, take your time reading the questions carefully (some questions would sound similar but can be tricky) and make sure you answer every question. This is the easy part if you have prepared for the test.

Best of luck to all who are attempting the test soon and for the ones waiting for the test invite - patience is the key.

I am not sure if this was already covered before but just in case you have to take the test outside of Canada, can we contact IRCC through email and let them know about it? Was there a post before about instructions on how to do so and the requirements? I really appreciate the help and patience. Thank you. :)

In the citizenship test invitation PDF I received, there were specific instructions on what to do if you are outside of Canada. I assume these instructions will be included in everyone's test invitations.

I've read the book twice, did the apnatoronto tests (scoring between 88-100%), and run through the 414 questions (with a similar 90-100% hit rate). I'm going to read the book once more to iron out the silly date questions which keep tripping me up and then just take the test :)
