My application delivered on aug 07 , 2020 , I don’t get any response from CIC too .
Did you reapply after denied for undeclared family member?.
I too have undeclared child and waiting almost 8 months without any response.

I called IRCC on Friday- they received my app on August 28th I believe. They haven’t done anything with it, but they have it on file. I received a temporary file number and confirmed all contact information. They said they are prioritizing family sponsorship upcoming, for what that’s worth :/

No, I was not required to submit until being asked. Perhaps different countries have different procedures.

They do, yes. Some countries like my husband’s (New Zealand) the police certificate is submitted with the initial application. Other countries with country specific requirements submit it later in the processing.

Good news if anyone cares. My spouse's TRV has just been approved today. I'll advise you all give it a try instead of waiting for the long Sponsorship. Our application took 2 months and 2 weeks. So many people discouraged us as they said it will definitely be denied since we have a pending spousal sponsorship. Against all odds, we went ahead anyways as we had nothing to lose. We don't even have AOR1 yet, but she will be joining me next month. I could never have imagined. It still feels like a dream.

Congratulations!! Have you applied by mentioning dual intent?

Applied to visit for a few weeks and promised to return to home country while waiting for decision for sponsorship as I wouldn't jeopardize that by overstaying my allowed duration.
