August 2020 - Citizenship application

I am in the same boat. My application (family of 4) was delivered on Aug 24, 2020. Did not receive AOR via email but status is showing application received. Hopefully we will receive AOR via email.

I hope so, fingers cross, please keep me posted with your progress, I would do same

So I called the IRCC agent and he informed me that we are doing background check and criminality check on your file and it’s under process. But my application status is still application received? No AOR as well.

One good news is that once u have applications number means your documents are good and they won’t send you the application back.

It shows "application received on Aug 13th" on ECAS. Before I couldn't check the status but now I can see it. But still no AOR.

Most likely not. Try calling them and getting an application number.

Call them and ask for application number , i did the same as I have not received AOR by email or mail yet , but the ECAS status (Application delivered) means that your application is good and won’t be returned, the agent told me that I will get the AOR but they have delays sending them to applicants. Call in the early morning otherwise it might be difficult to reach an agent.

So it seems as if all the applicants who did not receive AOR shouldn't have been worried as most of their applications are already in process now
I'm thinking of calling CIC too 'cause I'm eager to know whether my application has move to in process as well.

I also got below update from Ecas:
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 5, 2020

but no AOR yet.

Even if the application is in process the agent I spoke with said the process is going to be slower than usual given IRCC is working on skeletal staff so manage your expectations accordingly guys..

you just need your UCI if your application is in the system, it will show on ECAS. Good luck

I finally got through to the call centre and spoke with an agent who said the file is transferred to Local Processing Centre and is in process currently.

Status online still shows ‘received’. Looks like the systems will be updated only towards end of processing completion or somewhere midway.

Nope. You can simply use your UCI number and check status on ECAS. Me and so many others on this forum have been doing the same thing.
