Ok I understand that but one of my friend is plumber he got his approval in 4 months is this essential service? Lol
Maybe? 3 of the sectors Canada has designated as essential services are:

  • Energy and Utilities
  • Water
  • Manufacturing
WATER
  • Employees and others needed to operate and maintain drinking water and wastewater/drainage infrastructure
  • Employees needed to maintain and test water quality
  • Workers required to carry out construction and restoration projects and services associated with the water sector, including building and commissioning water and wastewater systems and supporting the health and safety of users of the system
  • Workers such as plumbers, electricians, exterminators, escalator and elevator mechanics, home appliance service providers, and others necessary for maintaining the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences and buildings
  • Workers who support the supply chain of building materials from production through application/installation, including cabinetry, fixtures, doors, cement, hardware, plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, refrigeration, appliances, paint/coatings, and employees who provide services that enable repair materials and equipment for essential functions

So, yeah his NOC in Plumbing definitely helped.

AOR Received.

And now that this is getting further streched, none of these days spent in Canada can count towards the citizenship eligibility process. I have almost spent three years which will count only as one year. I know this is irrelevant at this point. Please don't troll lol
Naïve question as I never looked at the citizenship thing till now (been here for 6 years and decided last year to get a PR as I always wanted to return to India). How many years does one need to be on PR to be eligible for Canadian citizenship?

I have been on IEC for 3 years and i think i can get 1 year for this max. I think its 2 years on PR minimum (total of 3 years in Canada) Someone can correct me if I'm wrong

To be eligible for Canadian citizenship, you must have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days in the five years immediately before the date of your application. We encourage applicants to apply with more than the minimum requirement of 1,095 days of physical presence, to account for any miscalculations of absences, or any other aspect that could lower the physical presence total below 1,095 days. Please note that you cannot meet the physical presence requirement without a minimum of two (2) years as a permanent resident.

Hello. First of all many congratulations to you and your family.

I had one question, does the COPR come via email or it gets updated in the CIC website (after logging in, is it under messages section similar to biometrics pdf etc)? Please let me know. The CIC folks put my email id incorrectly in the system and I am worried that if it comes via an email then I might miss it. If it comes in the CIC inbox then i am ok as i keep checking it regularly.
It came via email. Approved email and COPR email both came at same time but different emails.

To be honest, I was expecting COPR this month once I heard my edibility was Recommended passed when I called sometime in Jan. Most of Aug AOR will be getting it this month or next.
Hang in there guys, almost there. Initially I was getting worried and my anxiety getting hold of me, but end of the day it is what it is, not something in our control so stopped calling IRCC and checked the portal only once or twice in a week.

This is my hypotheses, upon on seeing other applicants from June/July/August in various forums.

If VO is Ottawa and your AOR is June/July then high chances of getting COPR this month.

If VO is Ottawa and your AOR is August, most likely below will be your status.

Eligibility : Recommended Pass
Criminality : In Progress
Security : Not Started
Info Sharing: Complete

So August AOR can expect COPR from March onwards.

*Ofcourse each case is different, timelines may vary!
