i assumed when it changes from “we are processing your BG” to “in progress” it means your bg has commenced ?

Your BG check hasn’t started. The “Your BG is in progress” was a false update. When the current status changes back to “....progress”, then, they have commenced your BG check.

Currently i understand that VFS offices in India are temporarily closed. is there any other way to submit passport or to contact the authorities?

Unfortunately no. You can send webform and inform them your willing ness to travel.

No update received. I was expecting medical pass. Even that has not happened. Does anyone know if it is normal or a cause of concern?
Looking forward to your advice please.

Be patient. Plenty of other people in the thread with similar AOR dates, that haven't received any update yet. You have many months of waiting ahead of you.

Based on the date of your AOR, you are supposed to get an update on Tuesday next week. Those with AOR of August 7 have received Medical results and BIL on Friday.

Hi,

I have received a BIL but I haven’t been able to give biometrics as all centers in my country are closed. On Friday my profile had the “Your action is required” status and below, under “Biometrics”, it said “We need your fingerprints in order to process your application”.
Today the first status changed to just “Submitted” and below it says “We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details.”

is this a ghost update or is it that they changed the system texts in order to avoid making it seem like without biometrics an application will not be processed?

ITA- July 8
AoR- August 10
MEP- Sep 24
My status update show that biometric is completed. I have my biometric done for another application in 2019 and this has been reflected in this update but my wife have not done hers.

Please friends is it that since I have done mine as the principal applicant she does not need to do hers? Anybody with ideas please...

She will need to do hers. You’ll get the letter/ADR for her biometrics.

Medical result: Passed on 27th August
BIL: Letter arrived but cannot give biometrics as all VACs are closed.

My question is, my three years work ex was completed on 1st August but since they round up the work ex by Month and year, would it be a problem that I accepted an ITA which was issued to me on July 8th?
On July 8th technically I was 22 days short of my 3 years work ex, but on the date of AOR, I had 3 years and 11 days work ex total.
Is it a problem or everything is fine ?

Sigh. You got ITA based on belief of having complete 3 years work experience. Whichever way you want to look at it, short of 22 days while getting ITA is false information. Pray the VO overlooks it.

I’m also worried about it but they were the ones who rounded up my points to 478 from 453 on July 1st. I didn't give any false information, in my profile my month and year of starting work is 2017/08. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for my eligibility check to complete.
