What happens between AOR and bio metrics request?
Is there any process in the background? Do they check on us like with the bank or employer or with the police?
At what point our case gets assigned to a case officer? And when should we ask for the visa office location dealing our case?

On your MyCIC account you will see the Medical status changed to passed like this image below:

I checked my account this morning and passed my medicals (today, woohoo!). I have not received an email as of yet.

Usually for medicals you do not receive any email.

Thank you! Yeah, it was refused for incompleteness. IRCC said I uploaded a photocopy of my China PCC instead of the original. It was actually the original, but it turns out that the notary misunderstood what I was asking for and gave me a certified true copy thing instead of a notarized translation, so I can see how IRCC would view it as a photocopy.

Wow I'm sorry! I can't believe they refused straight away without first sending a request for additional documents. Petty refusals like these scare me honestly. Can't help but wonder how my application would be treated All the best in your second (and hopefully final!) application!

If an application is incomplete without any LOE, it is refused at the R10 stage. This is the norm and nothing unusual. Only after an application crosses the R10 stage will the ADR or PFL sent.

If you received a new passport then your old one is cancelled and you cannot use it.
