I have a question about job offer letter. I have not claimed 50 points for job offer and my letter does not say "job offer valid for at-least one year after PR" does it matter?

Does everyone need RCMP verification? I am Inland, been in Canada for about 7 months now. Applied under FSW.

If you re in Canada, you will have to provide a RCMP PCC. However, IRCC will send you a request for it later in the process. May applicant prefer submitting the RCMP PCC along with the application and that saves them 1-3 weeks of processing time.

What does your BG status text indicate currently on CIC profile? I am also in your category.

Does it indicates "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information". Just wondering this is for IP2 message actually

If you received the upfront sheet, then it may state pending for some tests, but as long as the panel physician has submitted the medical to IRCC, there is no need for a new sheet from the doctor. You can use the one that you have. All you need it is for IRCC to match your number with the medical record transmitted by your panel physician.

When we say medical upfront , does it make any difference. Even in my case, we did the medicals 1 month before AoR, how long it takes for us to get into MEP state? Same as others 4-6 weeks post AoR

That’s what i thought, hence why I didn’t originally request a Canadian one

You don’t need to give us police certificates for any period of time before you were 18 years old or for time spent in Canada.

Any inland applicant who is in Canada or has lived in Canada before, irrespective whether they qualify under FSW / CEC or FTW, will be asked for RCMP. This is done later in the process. Canadian RCMP PCC is not asked upfront. However, IRCC has the discretion on requesting any document for the determining admissibility.

The officer can exercise discretion when assessing whether police certificates that do not fall within standard IRCC parameters may still be required to process the application. When necessary, an officer can use discretion in their determination of whether or not a client is admissible to Canada by using other documents or mechanisms that are available to them.

You can check the other threads for CEC applicants or inland applicants.

Who needs a police certificate?

You and any family member 18 or older may need to get a police certificate, depending on the program you’re applying to.

When should I submit one?
Different programs have different times for when you have to send in your police certificate(s).

If you think that inland applicants do not need to provide a RCMP PCC. So be it. Its your application and you know better what to do with it.

Hey! Since you are legally inclined can I ask you a general question about NOC codes and their requirements.

I am seeking information regarding NOC 1111 - Financial Accountants and Auditors. (https://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?Function=getVD&TVD=122372&CVD=122376&CPV=1111&CST=01012011&CLV=4&MLV=4)

If someone has a job that matches all job duties and has a university degree, but not a CA/CPA designation, are the eligible to apply under this NOC?
No other NOC matches them except this one.

There is nothing to fight. This is a discussion forum. The rule regarding PCC states:

Police certificates

Purpose
To determine if the applicant or their family members have a criminal record or poses a security risk to Canada
Document requirements
According to the requirements below, the system will generate upload fields for the police certificates required in the document checklist using the personal history, travel history and address history provided by the applicant. However, it is always at an officer’s discretion to request a new or additional police certificate from the applicant. Applicants may also provide additional police certificates in the letter of explanation field.

• For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must have been issued no more than 6 months before the submission of the e-APR.
• For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant stayed in that country for 6 months or more in a row.
• Police certificates meeting the above requirements can be accepted even if they have an expiry date that has passed.
• This includes the requirement to provide a police certificate for countries in which the individual has travelled for 6 months or more in a row, whether or not the individual had an established residential address during this time.
• Police certificates are required upfront and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has spent 6 months or more in a row within the last 10 years. The individual does not need to provide one for any period of time before the age of 18.
• Police certificates need to be a scan of the original police certificate(s) in colour. Certified true copies and unauthorized copies are unacceptable and will result in the application being rejected as incomplete.

However, inland applicants are asked for a RCMP PCC later in the processing of the application. They receive a request for the same. If you can submit the PCC before, you end up saving time, that is all. Getting an RCMP PCC is not that difficult.

Also, the instructions further state:

When necessary, an officer can use discretion in their determination of whether or not a client is admissible to Canada by using other documents or mechanisms that are available to them.
