Biometrics are mandatory and if you are not exempt from providing them, you will have to provide biometrics before your application can be finalised.

However, the pending biometrics does not place your application on hold. The application continues to progress.

If your medicals are pending, contact your panel physician to see when your medicals were transmitted to IRCC.

For biometrics, there are many applicants who are waiting.

CBSA will usually not contact. Only IRCC does. CBSA is involved in security screening, and they give their report to IRCC, who then makes a decision based on the report.

@legalfalcon . I recieved an email from a person claiming to be an Investigator with CBSA and that he tried contacting me on my old Canadian number regarding my wife's previous applications. I am a CEC Outland applicant and I did put my Indian number on my PR Application and my old Canadian number is not in use since I left Canada.
This person is asking for my new number so he can get in touch with me, Or to update my number in IRCC portal and then email him back. ( I already put my Indian number in my PR application)

Sorry to ask you a lot of questions but I was wondering if this is genuine or not. Thanks a lot for your time.

The medicals are usually updated fairly quickly. If your medicals were transmitted in June, and they still haven't been marked as passed in your MyCIC then it could be that the medical assessment may be in and it hasn't been updated, or that it has not yet been assessed. You can send a webform as inquire. Also ask your panel physician is everything was clear in your medical report.

If your medicals need further evaluation for cost threshold etc. it can take longer. But if it was clear, it is just an administrative delay.

If you have a lawyer or a consultant representing you, you cannot have access to your profile as the lawyers / consultants use the IRCC portal to manage multiple applications. You can however, send webforms or ask your representative for updates.

You can get your profile transferred to your MyCIC account, but then your representative will no longer be responsible to manage your application.
