Guys I called IRCC from outside of Canada using fongo app. The agent said eligibility passed while background check is pending (I am FSW-Outland applicant). Does Eligibility passed means I will probably be accepted if I know that criminality won't be a problem? did any FSW-O get a COPR?
I am the CEC outlander. Recently, I confirmed with numerous immigration lawyers and immigration consultants that outland app processing will begin sometime this Sep or Oct. Now things are moving, and CIC is currently working on approved/expired PR apps followed by apps in progress and new apps. Fingers crossed. FYI. I know so many consultants and lawyers thanks to my job.

@legalfalcon I need your advice on a quick query.

I am Aug 2020 AOR (FSW-O). My eligibility has passed but criminality and security have not started yet.

I recently resigned from my job (the most recent one in my EE profile) that I worked in since Feb 2020. I want to share it with the IRCC. My question is whether sharing that I have resigned from my job would impact the processing of my application in any way? Would it delay it unnecessarily?

I already had 3+ years of experience at the time I applied and all of my job experiences have been satisfactory to the case processing agent (from GCMS notes). So resigning from my position would not have any impact on my scores. Does not having a job impact FSW application in any way? I know I might be overthinking, but I honestly want to share this update with IRCC without seeing any negative impact on my application.

Also, what exactly should I say when raising the webform?

I would highly appreciate it if you could guide me.

Thank you :)

There's really nothing to worry about here.

If you did not claim points for arranged employment, the resignation will have no impact. Also, if you resign or your employment changes for which you claimed points, you have to inform IRCC.

You only have to send a webform and inform IRCC that you resigned form (employer) effective (date),

Great, thank you! Just a quick follow-up. I did claim points for the job I resigned from. But I only needed first 2 months of this job to get over 3 year experience mark and claimed points until July 2020. I stayed in the job for 1 year and 4 months (Feb 2020 - June 2021). So I am assuming that the time that is after 3 year mark and the time after July 2020 would not really impact my points and hence resignation won’t have any impact. Is that correct?

The application is locked the day you submit it. Any changes post that do not matter. However, if you claim points for a job, you should inform IRCC that you no longer work there so that in case IRCC wants to verify your employment, they are aware that you are no longer employed.

It will have no effect on your points.

My medicals expire today - do I need to get remedicals now for my application to be processed? Or will IRCC contact me and ask me to take my medicals again before issuing PPR?

Wondering what the best thing to do is to ensure there are no further delays in my application.

Wait for IRCC for a confirmation. Either they extend it or ask for re-medicals.
IRCC has specifically mentioned not to do an upfront medical in this case and it might increase the processing time.

Should we atleast send a webform to IRCC informing them of medicals expiry, just to make them aware? Because right now nobody in IRCC can be trusted to open outland files and assess the medical expiry date

Has there been any encouraging news for the FSW-Outland applicants lately? Has anyone received their COPR since the travel exemption for approved outland applications on June 21st, 2021?
