August 2019 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi, My citizenship application was received by IRCC on 30 Aug 2019 and it has been exactly one year since date of receipt of application. Please let me know if anyone has received invitation for citizenship test who has applied before or around Aug 2019 and what is approx delay beyond one year due to covid 19. Thanks,Shatamjeev

I am in the same boat. They received my application (family) on Aug 13, 2019 and yet not received test invite.

They started processing on Nov 21, 2019. Can some one advise should I contact IRCC or wait until Nov 21, 2020?

Timeline for 12 months is from the time they start processing or they receive an application?

It's from the day they received the application. But due to Covid all tests are cancelled and not sure when they will resume the tests again.

Same for me too. They received my application on Aug 14, 2019. Still no test invite. I mailed IRCC and they responded saying due to the pandemic processing times will be more than usual and they will process it at the earliest.

Now, the big problem. Our PR Card expires on Nov 2020. Confused, if we should renew our cards or sit and wait for the citizenship. Any advises?

Even the PR card processing times are very long these days but there is also no expected timeline for citizenship application processing.

If I were in your position i would put in the PR card application now because getting your canadian passport might take quite long too (nobody knows) and if you have to then travel for some reason then you would have a hard time coming back to canada.

No tests are being scheduled at the moment. No point contacting IRCC, they will just repeat that tests are not being scheduled and there's no date for them to restart.

Hi. Any recent oath invites? I applied on 22 August, 2019 and took a test on 17 February, 2020. Decision was made on the same day but no oath invitation so far. Can you please reply if you received one recently. Thanks.
