I applied in Aug 2019 (family of 3) and status changed to In Process on Nov 21. I haven't heard anything after this; my status still shows In Process. How long I have to wait for the test invite? Is it a time to contact CIC? Any suggestions?

Appreciate your response

I dont think calling would help. First they need to resume normal hours and operations and then we might see d flow

Good luck to you all!

The ceremony took me 17 minutes with 3 people and me through Zoom.

I had to cut my PR card into 4 pieces, sign oath or affirmation of citizenship during the oath and send the signed form to officers after.

No update or signs that they are trying to find a way to do interviews and tests.

You can call them and find out what’s going on with your application. Just to make sure your application is on hold due to pandemic situation only and there is no other reason.

This what CIC website says (i guess we need lot more patience) Priorities are Different:cool:

Due to the impacts of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we can’t

  • process applications normally
  • provide accurate processing times
We’re prioritizing applications from

  • Canadians returning to Canada
  • vulnerable people
  • people who perform or support essential services
If you have an application in progress

If you want to apply to come to Canada

Folks, Just wanted to share this as I know many of us are waiting anxiously.

Got a call from IRCC today about the virtual ceremony. I am told that an email invite will follow in the next few days.
Things are moving.

Good Luck.

Congrats. Would be nice if the timelines are mentioned as well.

I called today.. Was a 45 min wait.. They stated again that not all applicants will be doing a virtual oath. I am wondering if the people we see here getting their oath if they are a: previously invited to an oath that was cancelled and/or b: in a situation that they need citizenship for a job or some other reason that CIC states can happen and these files need to be expedited.

Thanks in advance

Virtual Oaths are good, yet many of us are waiting for exams still even people who applied after me are done...

Agree, there are no signs that they are processing or even considering to continue processing. waiting is nit easy, its 6 years since we moved in.
