Anyone here stuck "in process" after the test was passed? I passed by the end of Jan, husband on March 13...ecas still didn't move to the "decision made" phase. I'm trying to keep calm as the immi officer advised clearly "now just wait for the ceremony invite". SO I am thinking maybe by decision made they're issuing Oath date? I don't know. Anyway, PR cards expiring in September and looks like we'll not be back to normal at that point.

I read this article this morning about a University of Manitoba professor who got his citizenship application urgently processed due to his research on Covid-19 supply chain. He didn't have to take the exam, and what's striking is that the ceremony was, for the first time, done completely via video conference. My point is that if they did this exception for him, I hope this sets a precedence and allows the rest of us to do our oath remotely.

Australia has started Citizenship ceremonies via video and approx 750 people in one video conferencing will get citizenship from 6th April,2020. Total 85000 persons are waiting for oath ceremonies in Australia. Pl browse on Google and you will see the real position of oath ceremonies in Canberra Australia.

I applied in Aug 2019. My passport expired on Jan 2020. I did get my passport renewed. Do I need to send copy of renewed passport to CIC?

If you haven't done your interview and test (Your application is still In Process), you have to inform CIC about your new passport.

Can you please advise how to send/upload the copy of the renewed passport after submitting the application?

Hi all,

I am an August 2019 applicant . I got my AOR on Nov 20-2019 and status was changed to processing on Dec 05, 2019 . I have plans to go back to home country as my parents aren't well. Will there be an impact in application if i plan to go back? I can come during citizenship exam and oath ceremony but i am planning to go back and stay with them for sometime. I have my PR validity till June 2021. Please advise if i can go once the situation is stable and flights are resumed.

It's amazing how traffic to this site, and the posts have vastly fallen in number.. From 8th April to date, a full month, there are just 3 new posts !! :(
