Can you please update the sheet,
Test Invitation Letter: March 03,2020
Test Date: March 23, 2020

I wrote the citizenship test last week (Feb 25-26) and I passed, but the officer interviewed me wasn't sure if I had enough stay in Canada (which I know I do) he said he will confirm it at a later time. The reason he was not sure because I went to US twice.

My status hasn't changed and it doesn't even mention I had a test. it still says "we sent you a book/discover Canada".

Question, If I left Canada on March 1 at 2:00 pm for USA and then returned Canada at 4:00 pm on March 5, how many days I am out of Canada? is it 5 or 3? I calculated that as 3

What’s going on with Scarborough? All of the sudden they are inviting people to oath ceremonies the day after their tests while others have had DM for months. Some of these lucky people even applied in October!
I can only think of one thing on why some get before the others even though they applied after: I read somewhere that the oath ceremony has to have a good mix of nationalities i.e. not a majority from the same country. And that is why based on availability they are trying to schedule people accordingly. Again this is only my guess. Can’t say for sure.

Last in first out

Also that how some people are getting the Oath request within few days and some are getting after few months.

Anyone from Ottawa know how long they are waiting on average after writing the test?
I got in 2 weeks but I am from Vancouver. During interview the officer told me the date of Oath and asked me to mark my schedule. Did the officer tell you the date? U can call the hotline to ask the status

Hi Guys, I am a newbie to this forum who passed my citizenship exam and got DM in February at Scarborough office.
My job is going to require me travel more often starting April so it would be very beneficial to take the oath as soon as possible. Is submitting a request through IRCC web form somewhat helpful in this case?

I am happy for those many people who passed their exams at Scarborough office and received oath invites on the same day. However it is kind of unfair for people who are experiencing the long wait. Is it something we can complain about? (Sorry I might look childish and being jealous here but it is just what I feel). :p

My wife and I wrote the test on 03/04 and cleared it. The officer mentioned it will take about 6 to 8 weeks to get the oath invite. ECAS shows "In Progress", only update i see is the initial acknowledgment with details about "Discover Canada". Hopefully, it will be faster than the 8 weeks they mentioned.

12 weeks in Decision Made and no progress.. This is discouraging.

Calculator says 3 days but you should have at least 5 to 10 days buffer when you are travelling to US.

Please be proactive as much as possible. I wish you all the best for your oath letter
I put 1 month buffer to make sure

can you please share your timeline? when did you apply & when did you get your test invite? I'm from Vancouver too, the last update was in process DEC 10th !!!

Should have added a week or 2 for buffer to avoid misinterpretation like this.

Thanks to all for the reply.

I am stressing a bit now. Based on the Excel file, almost everyone got their status change from "in process" to "DM" after 6-7 days and mine still shows "in process" after 9 days.

I assume although the dates are tight, the CIC officer will do his check and then proceed with my application as long as I have 1095 days?

Yes.

Have you provided Form I-94 to them? If yes that will be helpful and make your application process fast.

If not, Officer might request this on his own and it may take weeks or months
