August 2019 - Citizenship Applicants

The date of the last update in my application tracker was changed to today's date but nothing changed in the sections, I still have the test and background verifications completed and the rest in progress, and the oath has not started. But the thing is, the last updated date was always 23rd April 2021, today it changed to 4 mars 2022 what could that mean? Has anyone else got something similar?

Could it be because I wrote yesterday to the minister's office and Mrs. Tapley?

I got mine too updated to 8 March 2022 from 23April 2021 after sending a similar mail. Let’s hope for the best.

I got today an email from COVID/ IRCC COVID Special Assistance Unit , it asks to check IRCC website on how COVID impacted application process…that’s interesting

So nothing for now, the last update is still from the 4th of march. I did receive an email from covid special assistance unit, but I think it's just an automated email.

For people who were once asking if the date of reception is the date the mail arrives or the date when the AOR is issued here's what I found:

"If you apply by mail, the processing time starts when your application arrives in our mailroom."

Now they are working on the applications received from 22nd September to 28th of September 2019, My application was received in the 27th of August 2019, which means they are not putting real dates there.

My status now: Background check completed, test completed, prohibitions in progress, language skills in progress, physical presence in progress, Oath not started. last updated 23rd of April 2021.

Are we a lot from august 2019 who did not get to the end of their application yet?

We are July 2019 and still waiting
