This is what I have from them and so far no news from my application:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 15, 2019. 2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on November 15, 2019. 3.We started processing your application on December 17, 2019.

so after back and forth with immigration office vancouver they told they received my Fingerprints and my background check was updated as completed very same day in new tracker. although everything else including language skills and physical presence is showing "under progress" I wonder shouldn't these two be like 1st step and what was IRCC doing the whole time. Well I guess noting can be done so just waiting for my DM

Being brutally honest , they put a delay or extra checks on certain applications just because of their religion or origin and I said that on their face but there is nothing more I can do than start a riot outside CIC office to process my application. They work with their own pace and choice. They are not answerable to anyone. Unless all applicants come together and do something its a long waiting game.
