Hi Netraam!

I hope you have got your CoPR by now.

Just to rub in buying the express police check cert - I am writing this on the plane, a little over Newfoundland on my flight to land in Canada!! ;) (seriously!)

They said Brexit might affect the supply of computer printer paper... :/

Anyway - I really hope you, and all the other August people, get their positive answer soon!

It’s. Worth. The. Wait.

(And the constant annoying of the embassy to get your papers printed and posted!)

See you in the great white north, friends.
Haha, yes mate, if only I had the option for that express police cert lol. Still can't believe it's finally over, looking at GCKEy and see that nightmarish timeline all completed. Yesterday I got my fav beer and just stared at it for a while.. Peeling of that skin of irritation I have been living in for so long hah.

How long it took for you to receive the COPR after you got the confirmation email?

My wife and daughter are flying over to BC in a couple of weeks, me flying a few weeks after (round up some last bits here in Ireland) Now the last phase of the adventure is to find out whether I can keep my job and work remote from Canada (my employer is trying to figure out the best construction to pay me, without being double taxed and all)

Good luck for you in Canada, thanks for the company here on the forum! To all others, good luck and I keep my fingers crossed you soon will get to the "other side" : )

Received the hard copy COPR in mail this morning. They sent it Oct 16th but didn't notify me with tracking... DONE! OFFICIALLY DONEEEEEE!
Wow! That was fast! Mine took a few weeks!

Right now, I’m sat at an indoor skate park in Guelph while my little guy scoots with his new mates, a few blocks from our rented house, having just secured a family car for delivery this week. Job hunting is going ok, but haven’t landed that one yet. My mind is clear, the stress of the move is gone - so next week I am HAMMERING that one! Then we’ll look at buying a house in the spring. Unless we find something before then and the bank is friendly enough...
Life is good.

Good luck to any other August 2018 Alumni!

Hey hey buddy! Good to hear from you! Glad to hear all is well! Hope all will go well with landing a proper job! Sounds great you guys are thinking about buying a house!!! Wish we could say the same.. Ya, my wife is from BC and she misses the wild. We are settling in/around Powell River and hope to find our happy place over there. I am very fortunate that my employer offered me to work remote from Canada (we set up a payrolling construction through Randstad Canada) and so basically we can live anywhere in BC as long as I got internet. My wife and daughter are flying tomorrow, I am flying early December) No need for Molson here buddy, we got our own town brewery with : ) Come over for a pint one day!!!!

Any August 2018 applications still pending? Can you provide your timelines?

Mine:
Received: August 1, 2018
AOR: Nov 21, 2018
SA: April 25, 2019
File transferred: May 24, 2019
Medical Request: May 1, 2019
AOR2: May 30, 2019
Medical Passed May, 2019
ADR (More Pics, Communication, Proof of Visit): Sep 10, 2019
ADR Submitted: Sep 20, 2019

And still waiting(16 months and counting), no updates since Sept 20. I'm hoping to receive Eligibility approval/Pre-Arrival soon, GCMS notes indicate BGC hasn't even started yet.

Escalated to Immigration Minister, his office said nothing they can do. Escalated to Prime Minister, his office said nothing they can do.

So its just the waiting game.
