Hi, thanks for the information and welcome to the August applicants. My apologies that it has taken me a day or two to update the spreadsheet - I had family matters competing for my time! I have updated the spreadsheet now. It would be so helpful to know the number of physical presence days if you have them, for completeness. I am pleased to see that others have been able to assist with your questions. Wishing you all the best in your citizenship journey, which hopefully will not take too much longer. :)
Thanks for getting back littleun.

We are 2 applicants: me and my husband.

No of. physical days present (My husband): 1,106
No of. physical days present (Myself): 1,113

Please update the sheet and also let me know if any info that you need to update the sheet is missing from my end.

Hi Everyone!
Application Sent - August 24th, 2018
Received - August 30th, 2018
AOR - November 21st, 2018
In Process - November 29th, 2018
No Updates after 28th, Nov

Initially I was at Mississauga location till June 1st, 2019. So I recently moved to Beamsville(Lincoln) and updated the same with CIC. Does anyone know if my file got transferred from Mississauga to Niagara location? I tried contacting customer service to ask same but they wouldn't tell. Thanks

Hey guys
I sent my citizenship application August 2018. They started processing it in november 2018. When I check online status it says it's in process.
I have not received any finger printing request or oath request.
Do everyone get finger printing request ? Or they can recieve straight oath request.
If anyone here can update I would appreciate
A) Most likely not many receive Finger Print request. It's totally fine if you don't receive one.
B) And no you dont receive Oath request directly, you need to appear for Test-Interview-Oath Invitation-Oath Ceremony-Passport.

Good Luck Bud!

Apparently you have to request the processing office directly. In your case, you will have to contact Mississauga office and request them to transfer to Niagara (or whichever office it is). Someone having experience with such requests would be able to help better I guess.

U need to send a letter to mississauga office in writing to request tranfer but i doubt they will do that because beamsville is still driveable distance from mississauga

Hi all, I'm an August 2018 applicant. I called IRCC today as my last update was on November 28, 2018 (in process). It seems its been sitting on the shelf for many months now just waiting for a test date. The agent said there's a long list of applicants in the GTA so it will be some more time before a test date can be allotted. Hope this helps anyone in a similar situation as mine.

Thank you Stormbringer for updating us all, it is always heartening to hear when someone has managed to get through to the centre and has managed to get some information. Sounds to me like that is a big shelf with so many of us sitting on it!!! Lets keep our fingers crossed that you and all of us still waiting get some progress soon. :):):)

If this is not against the forum rules; I can offer some advice to people still waiting for the Citizenship test from experience.

First of all: read the book. You do not have to memorize it but read it. BUT if you are someone who follows a little bit of politics and knows a bit about history; you can easily pass this test. Just do the questions available online. The two resources I used were: Richmond Library and an Android App (I am sure there is an iPhone equivalent but I did not check). I did the Richmond Library link two times. The app has 500 questions (I did not buy the app, free version works well) and I think I did half of them.

Now the kicker: None of the questions you will do in the above two resources are like the CIC Citizenship exam questions. Those questions are a little different but they cover the same material. Do not stress... they are not trying to fail you. They just want to ensure that you know a thing or two about Canada.

Mods: if this post violates the rules, please delete it.

Same boat as you! Apparently GTA is the slowest, hopefully we hear something soon.
