Been checking like crazy the past few days and nothing for me so far, hoping for next week

I also have DM in ECAS but not in MyCIC, however, I will not celebrate until I receive a confirmation email or letter from CIC. What concern me is that normally changes is updated on MyCIC first and then in ECAS. In addition, when I check the PR Application Status in ECAS, the information shown is the same for the last two months. I am worried that there is a glitch in ECAS and it is giving all of us erroneous information.

I doubt it's a glitch. The two don't always update together. I've had information update on ECAS before MyCIC and vice versa. Eventually they both will update and you'll have your confirmation letter but I'm happy to know that DM was made on my case Many of us have been waiting for an update for 8 weeks since we have had our background check in-process so this is definitely on schedule (if not a bit late because of the holidays!)

Did you include any court documents related to the FBI certificate when you sent in the entire application package? My husband has a charge over 10 years ago (he was still considered a juvenile) that was dropped but still shows up on his FBI certificate. We included the FBI check plus all the court records about what happened and probation records showing that it was dropped. I'm hoping we don't get the same message you got

No, I didn't include any other documents. Honestly didn't think I needed to, it was so old. I explained each of them in my application though. One of them was just late on paying a fine for a simple violation, but for some reason my local court called it "Libel/Slander/Resisting" on the FBI report so they want an explanation of that too I suppose. These things are so old, I'm hoping they still have all the records. Darn those small town politics sticking with me for so long. (Was 19 at the time, am now in my 30s)

Seems like everything took longer in Dec so hopefully sooner. Would like to "land" the last week of Jan. So freaking happy for you. *doing happy dance*

My husband has Nexus and during the application process he was required to provide information on the charges that showed up on their system from when he was a youth. So he had to jump through hoops to track down his sealed file of juvenile records showing that his probation was completed and that all the charges were dropped (this all happened well over 10 years ago). It took a while but he finally got them and they were exactly what they needed. He was granted Nexus a few months later.

All those same records we included with the FBI check in our application package. We also added a copy of his Nexus card with the passport to show that he's already gone through that background check process. They probably have access to that information but we included it anyway.

Oh they absolutely do. The Canadian immigration guy at the airport when I first flew up here made sure to let me know and printed them out right in front of me. Just hoops and hoops, but that's ok. Just ready for it all to be over and relax. Hopefully since they're finally requesting these, it will be done as soon as I submit them.

yeah iam in the same boat as you, got dm on ECAS jan 12 but no cic update, stil background check in progress

let me know if anything changes for you
