hi guys. How long do you have to wait to get DM on ecas .Is there a tendency to get your application refused while your status on ECAS is In process . i received this email back from Manila VO

Just to keep the January train rolling, my background check was changed to In Progress today on mycic. First movement since September so that's exciting.

How did you wait to be DM???.. until now my ECAS on sponsorship is still in process...

Your application seems to be a whole month before ours, looks like you may have some more waiting to do. Be patient.

Yeah I wouldn't worry. Most of us are August applicants (from your notes I see you are an October applicant?). Most of us have been In-Process since File Transfer in late August/Early September. For you I see that was Mid-November so you might still have another 1-2 more months max to wait. You'll get there!!

"Court record / Police report: Provide a copy of the original police report or court records
Related to charges on FBI certificate."

So does this mean they want actual court records and not just the FBI certificate on something dating back 12+ years? I've tried calling today but they are always too busy to actually connect me to a person. And also have to somehow manage to get them delivered to me in Canada and then shipped to them within 45 days?

That's a tough one. I imagine they want court records or the police report for whatever is on the FBI certificate so they can see it in detail. Unfortunately yes you'll have to contact the court/police jurisdiction for which the charges were filed and ask them for the documents and ask if it can be expedited for a fee as you need them for immigration purposes and have a 45 day deadline. I think it can be done, act quickly!
