Any August Ottawa folks get updates lately? I'm still in process for review of eligibility, background check says not started.... starting to panic but not sure if it's justified!

Hey! Check out my stats. My background check has been since Nov 19. So yeah maybe call and see what's up. Have you received sponsorship approval?

So I have been a forum lurker for quite some time waiting anxiously for my day to come. I will say seeing others get their PR's and COPR's is making me half hopefully and quite jealous but I'm hoping my day comes soon.

Same. Sponsorship approval on Sept 26th I think it was. Said it was sent to Ottawa and haven't heard anything since. Background check hasn't started yet either.

I called them on Friday actually, but the guy on the phone said they won't tell me anything unless it's been 12 months?

Yea, until it's passed "normal processing time" they won't tell you anything, which is frustrating. I had sponsorship approval on september 6th and haven't heard anything yet, nor is background check in progress.

We're in the same boat... I think we got SA around Sept 26, and since then have heard nothing... Frustrating when you see that lots of September applicants already have background check in process.

Yes! My Background Check just changed to "In Progress" this morning.

You look to be a couple of days behind me. Our application arrived in Mississauga on 15th August. Transferred to CPC Ottawa / In Progress on 15th September.

I don't think that there's any need for you to panic at this stage.

Don't worry! Many of us who were lucky enough to get a quick SA in August only just got movement on our background check a few weeks ago. I would assume they are just getting to the September transfers right now so you're still fine!

Don't worry! Many of us who were lucky enough to get a quick SA in August only just got movement on our background check a few weeks ago. I would assume they are just getting to the September transfers right now so you're still fine!

Oh yeah, no worries. Was just curious. I was expecting much longer wait times before I started this whole process anyway. It is encouraging seeing so much movement so soon for everyone though.

Hi there I hope you can help me.

Here is the deal. So my husband got a phone call today and was asked about some dates about his education and work. He was asked questions when he graduated and first got a job. Unfortunately he does not know them by heart (goes back to 2003 and 2005), so he got the year wrong (we had to go back to the papers to know the dates).

Another mistake done was on the employment record, so it says the last 10 yrs or since age of 18, so he had this job from 2005, and got promoted in 2009, being the last 10 yrs is more recent for him, we wrote from 2009-2015 this promoted job, and did not write the 2005-2009 job. So she asked him when did u start he said in 2005, and she said I have here 2009. and he said he had worked for 9 yrs for them.
What should be done? Should we send a clarification email explaining the dates and send attached proofs for both his education and work? Or wait if she contacts him again, he brings it up?

Plz help.
