I just got an email notifying me that HK has received our CSQ.
We sent it in on Sept 15th, so it was just short of 3 months.
My CIC and ECAS has yet to be updated.

When you say you sent it on Sept 15th, do you mean you sent your request to MIDI on that date or you sent received CSQ to HK ?
We sent our request to MIDI on October 9th and their site states they are currently processing requests received on Aug 31st.

That's the date it was sent. The credit card notified me that it was paid on the 26th of September.

Not as of yet, I hope to receive it soon. The China postal system is the polar opposite of that in Canada, hard to be trusted. All in all, it was nice to get the comforting confirmation that they did receive it instead of letting me sweat and wonder.

When I do receive it, I will still forward the consulate portion to them...
It's always better to be safe and do too much than too little.

Sent in second round of additional documents to MVO. This time for proof of address in Ontario.

Hopefully this is the last request. Hoping we all get PPR soon. I may delayed though because of docs.

Going through the HK office myself I am tempted to ask, did your application and situation pose many red flags? I would really like to avoid an interview... not that it's in any way in my control.

Really have no idea, the only thing i can think is that we submitted our application in 2 month after our wedding.
