URGENT HELP NEEDED PLEASE.

My husband was approved to sponsor me around a month ago and everything amended on ECAS, however 2 weeks ago we had an email saying they are refunding us $75- no reason as to why. Today I have just logged onto ecas and it now just says they received the application nothing about him being approved?

We paid $550 fees in total.

Please help, we are so confused and upset!

Hmmmm, strange. Did you pay $550 in total or $75 application fee + $550? In that case it would make sense because you should only pay:
Sponsorship Application Fee: $75.00
Principal Applicant Fee: $475.00

I've checked, I paid $625!!! I didn't even think to check the receipt!

What the ecas thing? Do you think it's just playing up??

Yeah ECAS has been acting up this week so don't worry about that. It's also not updated very often...

Observed today on my GC key account .

Under " Review of submitted documents" field it now blank but it was mentioned " No docs needed at this time".

Not sure how this change mean to processing of my application but want to know if anyone else observed this.

Hi, nothing to worry about it, BCgirl_inNL is right... if ever you receive another refund email, just read it, there maybe some information that they want you to see and be informed. I received 2 refund emails and I freaked out at first and same reaction on the second, haha, funny but our friends in here explained it very well, so now, I am confident and a little relax waiting for good updates from eCAS and MyCIC, not to mention the very exciting waiting and waiting... Good luck to all us here. I just hope that the new process or shall we call process update will really make all our application faster! Good news and PPR for everyone the soonest!

ECAS has been acting up all week. The same thing is happening with lots of people. Don't worry about it.

Going through the HK office myself I am tempted to ask, did your application and situation pose many red flags? I would really like to avoid an interview... not that it's in any way in my control.
