My background check turned In Progress last Friday. And I was expecting that PPR will come a day after that progress. But I was wrong. Too much expectation could kill you. Haha! :'(

Our background check has been in progress for 35 days, still no decision made. Just need to have patience.

Hello august Ottawa VO applicants, are you all in background check? Any decisions, there aren't any listed on your spreadsheet....September folks are curious about your timelines...

also, if you're in background check, can you say if you had a straightforward case?

Cheers

Our file is being processed in Ottawa but our background check is not in progress yet :'( Our case is very straightforward, together 11 years, married for 6, have two kids together. But normally we would be going through Vienna as my husband is Dutch and we live in the Netherlands, so maybe that's why ours is taking a bit longer? Maybe there's a separate visa officer who handles files not from the USA... Just a thought. Or maybe we're lucky and we'll hear something this week. :D

eCASE IS PLAYING GAME WITH US !!!
i just come to lose my 1.2.3.4 lines again ....lol :P

Sorry for asking Out Of topic
When you send your additional documents through email did you received any Automated confirmation?

Yes I received a message back from the VO acknowledging receipt of the message I sent them. But MyCIC has not been updated.

May I ask someone, is there anyone in here sent their RPRF to Mississauga via snail mail? We sent ours in September and we got no acknowledgement mail or email or so, until AOR2 arrives and included RPRF to the additional documents requested. My question is, do we need to follow up to Mississauga about the RPRF we sent, or is the additional set of documents (RPRF included) from AOR2 is enough proof that we sent RPRF?

Thanks a lot! hope to hear something from you all! Good luck everyone! :D :D :D

My Background check has been in process for about 30 days as well. I was hopeful for PR status before Xmas, now I am not so sure. :(

Hello,

I am a straight forward case. Only other residence was in US - no additional countries. My background check has been in process for about 30 days. Getting very discouraged over here.

It's finally all done for myself and my wife! The past Wednesday my wife received her passport back from the Ottawa office together with the COPR. We took a weekend trip to North Dakota and came back to land at the North Portal border crossing. My wife only had to wait a minute or two before it was her turn. It was a very efficient process - the immigration officer asked her the questions on the COPR document (have you ever been convicted a crime? Ever refused entry to Canada? Do you have any dependents not listed her?), asked her if all the information on the COPR was correct, and then asked for her current address. The immigration officer gave her some information on maintaining PR status and on obtaining citizenship. The officer congratulated her and left for a few minutes to process some paperwork. After returning, she congratulated my wife again, gave my wife her copy of the COPR, and told us to drive safe on our way back home. Everything took about 10 minutes and we were on our way back home.

Congrats! And thank you for sharing your experience.

Tell me about it. The feeling of being discouraged is really putting a damper on my Christmas mood. Hope you hear soon, Stevin!

Background check for 2 weeks now. Not really concerned as I hear the timeline for this can be 4-6 weeks these days so just going to be a bit more patient...

Our case is fairly straight forward (US Citizen, married for 5 years, no kids/dependents)
