HI everyone! Been kinda busy but always reading you guys, we're all getting good news!!

I finally received on November 3rd my SA letter via e-mail stating I was approved and my wife's part of the application was sent over to Mexico after calling a few times, and just saw a third line on the sponsor side(me) in ECAS:

We received your application to sponsor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXon August 23, 2016.
We started processing your application on September 20, 2016.
We sent you correspondence on November 3, 2016 about the decision on your application.

Cant wait to receive AOR2, does it usually take a month or so for us to get it? Anyways, good luck everyone

Actually, I've been approved a few weeks already but they just didn't send the email on time! Frustrating!! hahahaha Fingers crossed!!

Hi, my sponsor and I do have different UCI number but we are using the same application number. Good luck and submit those requested additional documents needed. It will take 28 days to process or to receive an update as per email confirmation from the document I sent.

Hi, after I received my AOR2 and asking me for additional docs as well. Then, I sent the docs last Sept 26. Until now, I haven't received any update from MVO. I think the process or confirmation or update is more than 28 days. I wish i can link my application like yours so that I can view the progress.

i am wondering why the timeline onside talk about AOR which it mean, i guess, Acknowledgement of receipt and not talking about the sponsorship approval letter send from CIC ? i think us all of you that the last one is more relevant...

I think most people list the date they got sponsorship approval under the "File Transfer" part on their timeline. When you get SA, that's when you know which VO your application will go to and that's when the file is no longer looked at by Mississauga.

I'm sure because it was NOT originally designed for family class sponsorship but for other types of visas not involving a SA (Sponsorship Approval) like a student visa, Express Entry, Canadian Experience Class, Skilled Worker, Business immigration, etc.).
