I tried your suggestion, still no luck for me. I badly want to see the progress on my application. I really don't know what's wrong on linking the app.Stevin said:Use the PA (Primary applicant)'s info. So, the person applying for PR.
Sooooo frustrating, I sympathise with you. I even called them after what seemed like a million attempts and that was no help either. If you have not maxxed your attempts for the day, maybe try the UCI number instead of application number. Sorry for your troubles. The kicker for me was the "2" people on the application. Best of luck!melodeegg said:I tried your suggestion, still no luck for me. I badly want to see the progress on my application. I really don't know what's wrong on linking the app.
I am experiencing the same thing, been trying since last month and still no luck. I tried every possible combination, I even tried mixing both sponsor and PA information and still no luck. I really don't know what's wrong and what really went wrong but fed up! Maybe all I can do for now is to wait for eCAS update! Good luck to all us...melodeegg said:I tried your suggestion, still no luck for me. I badly want to see the progress on my application. I really don't know what's wrong on linking the app.

Also, for your 5 tries I would stick to everything above but the number that may need to be changed is number of family members involved in application. I would start with 2, but if you have any children for either sponsor or PA (whether they are going to immigrate or not) you could try adding them to the number 2 (although in our group this number was the most inaccurate in the system).sweethunkUSman said:Hey guys, the following instructions, although weird, have been the most successful for linking to myCIC for our September group. "Hello fellow Sep applicants, I'm brand new to this forum and I'm a Sep applicant as well, I will be posting my timelines in the spreadsheet soon but I want to try help those who are struggling to link their application to CIC, try the below steps as I saw a lot of people succeeding using this method
The combination of information that I used to find the application (finally) was:
1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name.
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application. I am sponsoring my wife, no dependents.
It popped up saying 1 application was found. Hope this helps someone trying to link their account.
Give this a go, hope it helps!!"
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! It actually worked for me! Guys, I finally linked my account to myCIC, just follow the instructions carefully and I think what really works is copying the APPLICATION NUMBER from the email sent to you and paste it on the space provided. I entered space by clicking space bar on the the city of birth... and don't forget to put 2 for numbers of applicants.sweethunkUSman said:Hey guys, the following instructions, although weird, have been the most successful for linking to myCIC for our September group. Hi Shmak2017,Shmak2017 said:It should not effect your work permit as per my understanding.
you do not need to travel to your home country.
Lashen said:Hi Shmak2017,
Can you please clarify a bit. Do you mean if my application approved, I don't have to travel to my home country for pr visa?
I can get the pr card in Canada? You know anyone in such circumstance?
Thanks a lot for your help.

Probably officers are working differently per applicants. I am hoping we are able to get an update after a month from the date we received our AOR2. I just submitted the additional documents requested from my AOR2. Good luck to all of us. Let us all claim it!crazy D said:Hi There, good to see you finally linked your app.
