My wife received our AOR 2 today, November 3 (Yay), but, the UCI number quoted at the top of the email is not exactly the same as the UCI given in the original email sent to me, the sponsor. I am assuming that an error has been made at the Manila office, but also thinking that it may be possible that, I, the sponsor may be given an UCI and my wife may be given a different UCI??

Could someone here confirm for me that the original UCI given in AOR 1 should exactly match the UCI in AOR 2 - the application number is the same in both AOR 1 and the one received today.

Thanks very much in advance - cheers :)

Haha, I will answer my own question already - we are each given our own UCI#

How do I know? I just tried her UCI# on the ECAS website https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do and I was able to login and see her information there. So all is good.

Hi, my sponsor and I do have different UCI number but we are using the same application number. Good luck and submit those requested additional documents needed. It will take 28 days to process or to receive an update as per email confirmation from the document I sent. :D :D :D

Finger crossed ;D ;D would be nice to see any updates in our app this month ;D
As I didn't send yet original copy of my NBI clearance .I'll just wait from them to request any additional docs.

Cheers !

That's right! I just submitted those additional documents listed from AOR2 and confirmation letter arrived after a minute or 2 I think. It says, it will take 28 days for them to process and review those documents and if no feedback within that period of time, then probably everything is ok. Can't wait for our PPR... We can make it. :D :D :D

Hi! Glad to see almost the same progress with our papers. I received my AOR2 yesterday too(nov3-my daughter's bday :D) just a question though, did everybody's AOR2 required for PRPF? Is this an additional step that somehow "assumes" our landing?? I'm trying not to be negative about it, like what if we fail, but at the same time it gives us hope that we are almost or at the approval stage already...

It only means that CIC has sent your application to your VO and the latter have looked at the file. AOR2 is the acknowledgement of receipt from your VO.

It is not required for PRPF. Some may not receive it at all. As it is said and repeated by many senior members before, this forum seems to consider AOR2 as being when the third line appears on the sponsored person's side in ECAS which will say that the file is now being processed.

Thanks for your reply. I checked my ecas and mycic just now and it did update to the third line. I forgot to mention that my AOR2 did require for a PRPF and other docs which I have already sent together in the application. In this case, my sponsor should pay the fee now, right? So we can send the copy of receipt to the VO.

In the event that the application is refused (but of course, hoping it's not) the RPRF fee will be refunded. When my husband received AOR2, payment of RPRF should be done within 30 days from the receipt of the letter.

Same with ours. Did you make the payment? :)

I submitted the additional documents from AOR2 lists last night and it says from the auto email, it'll take 28 days to hear from them. Is there any chance that they give good update earlier than stated? Thanks much and so excited to hear from you all! Good luck everyone and God bless us all... :D :D :D

Yes, of course. I've made the payment right after my husband received the AOR2 and sent the receipt right away. I have already received confirmation that they got the receipt. Hopefully, PPR for my husband soon. I really wish for him to be here before I give birth 1st week of January.

>:( >:( >:( What the heck is going on with MyCIC? I am seeing different name and application number in my account, good thing I can't check the status... Anyone experiencing the same thing? ??? ??? ???

That is really nice. Hope we can all be with our loved ones soon :) btw, may I know the format in submitting addt'l docs via email? Do we need to put a Subject and Body text? Or just change every attached file's name format and send without subject and/or message? Thanks :))))

An email I got from the Ottawa VO said this in it:

IMPORTANT: If you are the applicant or an authorized representative, you must provide us with your application number in the subject line of your email and include in the body of your email the following information:

· Surname and Given name(s);

· Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD);

· Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number / Client ID number;

· Category of Immigration (CEC, Provincial Nominee, Family Class, Federal Skilled Worker, Temporary Resident);

HI everyone! Been kinda busy but always reading you guys, we're all getting good news!!

I finally received on November 3rd my SA letter via e-mail stating I was approved and my wife's part of the application was sent over to Mexico after calling a few times, and just saw a third line on the sponsor side(me) in ECAS:

We received your application to sponsor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXon August 23, 2016.
We started processing your application on September 20, 2016.
We sent you correspondence on November 3, 2016 about the decision on your application.

Cant wait to receive AOR2, does it usually take a month or so for us to get it? Anyways, good luck everyone :)
